TWO FRIENDS TAKING A RISK...
OUR STORY
Fairy Quest is a labor of love – it’s a very special project for both of us and we need to reach our goal to pay for keeping it in print. We believe in Independent projects, and we are excited to see that with Kickstarter, people are coming together to support each other, and to give birth to amazing ideas.
We work often with the mainstream publishers in the US but now we want to tell a different story – one that we are really passionate about – and this is where we need your help. If you take a look at the art, we hope you’ll agree that Fairy Quest is pretty cool. But a 48-page story about fairytale characters is a project that would not see the light of day if we were to go to the bigger publishers.
If we succeed with this drive, we will continue to finish each Fairy Quest book ourselves, and come here for help with the printing. In effect, you will be our partners and our co-publishers! (Fairy Quest #2 is already well on the way, and it’s looking amazing if we do say so ourselves - we will upload some previews as we go).
We want to share this story with you and, if we are successful here, we want to share our good fortune. If this 48-page graphic novel can find funding here on Kickstarter, it will show other mainstream creators that this site is the amazing supporter of special and diverse projects that we believe it to be: where else will you see technology and short films and theater rubbing shoulders with comics?
First and foremost, this is what the book looks like:
OUR BOOK
Fairy Quest is set in the world in Fablewood, where all of the stories that have ever been told live side-by-side. But it is a sinister place indeed. Under the watchful eye of the dreaded Mister Grimm and his Think Police, the characters must keep their story straight or risk having their minds wiped inside the Mind Eraser.
Despite this, Red Riding Hood and her Wolf (Red and Mister Woof) have become friends. And they are about to risk everything to try and escape from the clutches of their oppressors and find sanctuary in a mysterious place called the Real World. Red and Woof will undertake a difficult and perilous journey through all of Fablewood, hoping against all odds that they can remain as friends forever.
If you’d like to read some preview pages then you can go HERE. For some design and character sketches please follow this LINK. We also have photos of the hardcover book itself and the statue of the two main characters, Red and Mister Woof HERE. We've also recreated our list of Kickstarter pledges HERE so that you can see photos of the various items we're making available.OUR PLEDGE
If you take a look to the right you will see all kinds of rewards, and we hope that some of these really appeal to you. Anything you can pledge helps us get closer to our goal of keeping Fairy Quest in print.

We have recently made two important additions, which we hope you will love: (1) the book will now be made available in PDF form! That is a dense, 48-page graphic novel for just $14! (2) If we reach an extended goal of $70,000 we’re going to pay for one lucky supporter to visit with us at the Wizard World convention and hang at our table. You get to meet all of our comic creator mates, special VIP all-access passes supplied by the great folks at Wizard, and maybe we’ll all go sing karaoke together! (If you don't want to or cannot come for any reason, we will do our best to make it up to you with extra loot and some original art - as long as you're happy, we're happy!)
Since we are putting up a number of reward items (which you can see to the right of this page), we can only estimate to the best of our judgment where the money raised here will go. If we meet our goal, we estimate that roughly 60% will go directly to the printing and shipping of the Fairy Quest book. We estimate that a further 20% will go towards the production and shipping costs of the Red and Woof statues, and the final 20% will go to the manufacturing costs of the other items we are listing here.
Please check our updates from time to time. We are finding some amazing projects here on Kickstarter, and we’d love to do our part by showing support for our fellow creators. When we find such a project, we’ll back it ourselves and we hope to spread the word. Go take a look… we know you will agree these are some cool projects!
Please check the fairyquestbook.com link often, as we will be updating our blog all the time. We want you to be involved, so write to us!
We could not do this without you. Fairy Quest is a tale of two friends taking a risk, and we suppose that is our story too. Thanks for your consideration, and thanks for doing this with us!

PS: A note on the items available in this pledge drive...
We realize that there could be any number of combinations on the pledge list. For example, if you want a book and a statue, we could list that as a separate pledge and add up the two numbers. But it tends to clutter up the list and make it unmanageable. So for the most part, if you want two items from the list please just pledge that amount in total and let us know what you wanted. Our groovy fridge magnets are just $4 extra, and we can easily add them into any order we ship to you. You want them, You know it.
And now... a special six-page preview of the book:
