Shipping service still down
We’re desperately trying to stay mellow ourselves.
We hit our goals Monday, but the rest of the week went downhill with no brakes, as our delivery service dealt us multiple blows to the gut all at once.
Shipping network crash
TNT, the delivery service who's already brought Mellow as far as South Korea, the US and Australia - gave us not just one, but three pieces of bad news all at once:
- They haven’t yet re-established international shipping after last week’s cyber attack as promised
- They weren't able to send any tracking emails, due to failure of their global network
- On Monday evening, they informed us they’ve stopped shipping goods with lithium batteries completely.
Right before that perfect storm, we managed to ship 15 units in Germany on Monday morning.
Despite the extra costs and time, if TNT doesn’t provide a resolution by the end of the week, we’ll personally transport all the prepared packages to the German Post Office and attempt shipping there. We have confirmation that deliveries are possible for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We are searching for a solution for the rest of the international shipments.
International shipment of products with lithium batteries is literally becoming more difficult by the day, so be assured that we are moving as urgently as possible in order to fulfill before the window closes entirely.
Pickup of Mellow Drives
We are extending the pickups indefinitely at our offices in Hamburg. Any backer that wishes to personally pick up their order should write to firstname.lastname@example.org with the date and time they'd like to stop by (usual business hours if possible please).
We keep our fingers crossed and talk to you soon,
Johannes & Kilian
