Building upon the success of the last KickStarter Compendium of War, we are really excited to present the latest installment in the Lore of Sabaton!
Compendium of Cards (COC) is a massive-multiplayer card strategy mobile game set in the world of “Compendium of War", the 3-D turn-based mystical strategy game that is already under active development by Crucial App Concepts Inc.
Take a dive into the captivating world of COC, and command massive armies of Creatures lead by Heroes across the legendary battlefields of Sabaton. Visualized by uniquely designed cards that the players must collect to create unbeatable decks, and reign supreme in all the Three Nations! Test your skills as you win battles, collect new cards and customize your deck for each opponent. The game features a complete level-up system and mixes up the game play by introducing card fusion, allowing players to fuse cards together to dominate their opponents when the opportunity presents itself.
The game offers three main modes of game play:
Arena Mode: Pitted against increasingly challenging AI, players are allowed to experiment offline and safely learn all the elements of the game play. Players collect new cards and unlock Heroes playing through the Arena mode, to make their best deck and take their strategy online against real opponents.
PVP Mode: Players engage in battles against real online opponents, in friendly matches to test their skills and fine-tune their strategy. Challenge your friends to friendly sparring, or take on the world and prove your mettle!
Rage Mode: Rage Mode is where things get interesting, essentially pitting the players against each other in a winner-take-all match with real consequences. The winner of the battle collects all of their opponents captured cards, in a high stakes-high reward game with each player racing to capture the most cards. Strategy becomes crucial, or you may end up saying goodbye to your painstakingly crafted perfect deck..
Put together, Compendium of Cards offers a unique immersion into the Lore of Sabaton, with something for every type of player, and a complex strategy mechanism to keep players hooked and wanting more.
The game play is true to the card game genre, and defines a complex system of rules, abilities, magical effects and an elemental root to every creature. The quick-paced turn-based battle system is a rewarding and fulfilling experience, letting players carefully craft their deck and strategy to opt for an offensive or defensive playing style.
Creature cards make up the majority of a player's deck. Each creature has unique strengths and abilities, as well as a rich back story. There are a total of 80 unique Creature cards to be collected.
Creature cards are categorized on elemental spirit, attack strength and rarity level. The Creature cards are further made powerful through the use of Land cards, special magic-based cards that imbue the Creatures with special abilities, or simply affect the whole battle arena.
Land cards represents battlefields or special locations that grant bonuses to the lanes they are placed on the battle. There are a total of 40 unique Land cards to be collected.
Lane cards are where the strategy comes alive - a single Land card has the potential to turn a battle on its head with a little bit of clever maneuvering.
Multiple types of Land cards and a wide array of magical abilities make sure the playing experience is unique every time.
Hero Cards are the 7 legendary Heroes of Sabaton, each personified in a unique card with special magical abilities. Hero cards remain in play throughout the battle, and offer their own unique powers that can be used once during the game play.
Players can choose only a single Hero card to lead their deck, depending on their own playing style and strategy.
The fusion mechanism introduced in COC allows players to fuse cards together for increased effect and attributes. Both Creature and Land cards can be fused with other cards to increase the experience level and power stats.
When a card gains enough experience, it advances to the next rarity level which amplifies its overall power stats for increase damage during battle.
Cards with rarity level 6 or higher automatically gain a 10% experience boost when fusing with other cards.
Each player can craft a maximum of 7 individual decks, each with its own strengths and strategy.
Each deck is made of:
- 60 Creature Cards
- 20 Land Cards
- 1 Hero Card
Only one of the 7 decks can be "active" at a time. Each player starts the game with 2 decks available for getting to grips with the game, and beginning to build their perfect deck.
Subsequent decks and cards are unlocked via playing through the Arena mode.
Quests are special objectives that must be met to reap the Quest's rewards. The more difficult the Quest, the greater the reward. Quests rewards include unique Deck Back Covers, Card Packs, War Tokens and Item Cards.
COC has been designed as a community-driven massive online multiplayer game, and what better way to make it into a reality than to involve the actual players who will be playing it!

With a strong record of always finishing what we started, we are highly motivated to see our creation through to the end. Despite a numerous number of challenges, we have persisted and worked our way through.
From tuning the game design to perfecting a balanced battle system, we have had our fair share of challenges.There is no reason to profess perfection, and an inherent risk is always present when tackling such a big project.
In the face of all of this, we are committed to delivering a 100% effort to realize our dream and finish what we have set out to accomplish.
