DevDuino is a fully redesigned Arduino-compatible board. It has been smartly reshaped and enhanced with plenty of must-have features.

The low-power Microchip 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller featuring 32KB self-programming flash program memory, 2.5KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM, USB 2.0 full-speed/low speed device, 12-channel 10-bit A/D-converter, and JTAG interface for on-chip-debug.
The device achieves up to 16 MIPS throughput at 16 MHz. 2.7 - 5.5 Volt operation.

"Why Arduino boards have such an inconvenient shape?"
The shape of the Arduino boards was most likely based on a simple interesting idea: a rectangular PCB where you can add mezzanine shields on its top side using female headers.
Well, after playing with it for a while, I saw many issues with that concept. It is not breadboard-friendly, female headers can slightly hide the silkscreen, shields completely hide the silkscreen and the reset push-button, each signal has only one available pin to be connected to...
For solving all these issues, the shape of DevDuino is also based on a simple idea : a U-shaped PCB where you can add mezzanine shields on its bottom side using male headers!

DevDuino will include a piezo buzzer!
Buzzers have actually plenty of use cases but I find them very useful when developing or debugging while keeping my eyes on my IDE.
The buzzer that I have selected is a low power piezo (<5µA) connected to the PWM D6 through a 0 ohm resistor, so if sometimes you don't want to use it then you just have take this resistor off.
I have already tested successfully this design and a batch is currently being produced with it.
There are two things that I am very passionate about: Education, because I see it as the only way to emancipate anyone on this planet, and Electronics Engineering, because it is one of the most fascinating discipline that I ever know.
Hence why, for more than two years, I have made in my native language (French) straight to point tutorials on YouTube, and a growing awesome community of more than 20,000 followers has watched more than 1,000,000 times these videos!
I really enjoy doing this, and Arduino boards have been a great simple tool in this personal project. Many people would even agree to say that I might be one of its best ambassadors. But as great as it is, the first Arduino boards have been designed more than 12 years ago and since then, I didn't really feel any innovation in it.
So I gave myself a personal challenge: "Can I try to innovate it?"

DevDuino includes a lot of great features, so for guaranteeing a low manufacturing cost, it must be manufactured for at least a hundred units.

I know from my professional experience that there are always some risks involved when manufacturing a new board.
First batches have been already successfully manufactured due to a very strict quality control process before shipping.
