Sensitive and in Love
Feat. bestselling author Dr. Elaine Aron (The Highly Sensitive Person) & love & relationship researcher Dr. Art Aron of the famed 36Qs
SENSITIVE AND IN LOVE is the long-awaited groundbreaking documentary based on the research of Dr. Elaine Aron, psychologist and author of the international bestsellers The Highly Sensitive Person and The Highly Sensitive Person in Love. She and her husband, Dr. Art Aron, have also been researching love and how to make close relationships last since they met decades ago. Today, Art is one of the world's leading relationship researchers, known for his pioneering brain imaging studies of love and his famous 36 Questions for building intimacy.
This documentary is necessary for everyone in any kind of close relationship, or wanting to be, whether you are highly sensitive or not. So many of us are in a close relationship with an HSP, whose finely tuned nervous system, which picks up on subtleties and reflects deeply, can be a tremendous romantic asset if both partners understand it. But without that understanding, high sensitivity can make close relationships - partners and also friends and family- painful and complicated.
Research finds that 42% of what determines a break up is partners' genetic temperament. But there's no "divorce" gene! It's simply that people are so unaware of the role of innate temperament in relationships. We may want our partner to change, but temperament is a factor that cannot be changed.
There is so much to learn, especially if you are one of the 20% of the population who were born highly sensitive, because so much is known about the trait. This film is based on solid research on love and specifically on highly sensitive persons (HSPs) in love. It also captures the experiences of HSPs themselves and with their partners, and reveals the advantages to be appreciated plus the problems, and the solutions that you need to know.
Elaine and Art have experienced the messages of this film: She is highly sensitive and he is not, so they have researched and lived this film every day, in the office but also at home.
Sensitive and in Love is the sequel to the original documentary Sensitive- The Untold Story, which was livestreamed in 64 countries at its premier in 2015, and is produced by award-winning team Diana Sinelnikova Harper and Will Harper of the GlobalTouch Group.
Your Kickstarter contributions to Sensitive and in Love are tax deductible as allowed by law. The film is a project of the Foundation for the Study of Highly Sensitive Persons, a 501(c)3 organization. The foundation’s mission statement is "To research and educate the public about the trait of high sensitivity." If there are profits from the film, some of those profits will go towards further research on sensory processing sensitivity (high sensitivity). Some will be used to make more films or otherwise educate the public.
Risks and challenges
Sensitive And In Love is the 2nd film project for the Foundation for the Study of Highly Sensitive Persons. In 2014 its inaugural documentary - Sensitive-The Untold Story featuring 7-time Grammy winner Alanis Morissette - was successfully funded via Kickstarter and released in September 2015 at the sold out premiere at the prestigious Legion of Honor in San Francisco, CA. It was live streamed to 64 countries during its premiere.
The vagaries and pitfalls of producing a film project are very well understood by the production team for "Sensitive and in Love." The award-winning Global Touch Group has directed and/or produced dozens of projects, including "Sensitive - The Untold Story," network shows and specials, reality series, talk shows (including the Oprah show), music videos, documentaries and branding films, commercials, corporate presentations, fundraising campaigns, and direct sales presentations. Production challenges will be addressed through the GlobalTouch Group's experience, connections and resources in the industry.
Having the funds to complete a project is a common challenge in the film industry. In the case of "Sensitive and in Love," we guarantee that the documentary will be made when the project funds at the $90,000 level. Funds received over and above the $90,000 will allow the film to have extra features and improvements and cover distribution costs.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
