A comedy about B-string superheroes who go on a reality TV show to promote their careers.
Superman. The Dark Knight. Wonder Woman.
This is not their story.
This is the story of B-string superheroes hoping to hit the big time. The guys you’ve never heard of. The ones who go out every night fighting crime and hoping that someone will notice. The ones who are desperate enough to go on a reality show.
This is the story of a Sable, a single mom trying to juggle crime fighting, a moody teenage daughter, and a waitressing job. Of Big Shot, a macho marksman who can’t get over the breakup with his former sidekick. Of Malibu Action Girl, a spoiled rich kid determined to prove that she’s more than the sum of daddy’s expensive weapons. Of Water Warrior, a hunky hero trying to sleep his way to the top. Of Rick & Josh, former teen superheroes trying to put their past behind them. Of Psychic Sam and the Vixen and many more.
This is a look behind the mask, at the real lives of superheroes.
WHAT WE NEED:
We’ve already shot the movie, but now we need to raise funds for post production: Editing, color correction, sound mixing, and music. We’ve got some great looking footage, but now we need another $35K to finish this movie right.
And if we are able to raise more than that, there is SO MUCH MORE that we could do with this movie. There are some very funny additional scenes that we could shoot, and some really cool special effects shots that would really bump up the film's visual appeal. If our campaign can raise a total of $75K, this film could really turn into something special.
And if we manage to get beyond $75K, then the fun really starts. We've written a whole series of short films based on these characters. We'll shoot them and put them on the web for free, to start building an audience for the feature.
Ever wanted to go to a superhero speed dating session? Or try a superhero workout video? Wondered what happens when you try to sue your supervillain ex for child support? Or how heroes REALLY find their sidekicks? Get us the funding, and we'll share the videos.
We’ve assembled a great team for this movie. Our writer-director’s last movie won a bunch of film festival awards, including “Best Screenplay”, “Best Director”, and a whole boxful for “Best Picture”. Our costume designer has won “Best in Show” at San Diego Comic Con 4 times. And we’ve got an amazing cast of actors. You probably haven’t heard of any of them yet, but we bet you will in the years to come.
WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE?

WHY SHOULD I HELP?
This is a low budget comedy about the secret lives of superheroes. It’s not going to end hunger, stop global warming, or bring about world peace. But it is going to be a heck of a lot of fun. And we’d love to have you be a part of it.
Tell me more about these rewards...
Here are pics of some of the great rewards you can get for supporting our film. Prices and details are in the column to your right. Note that most props and costume items will ship around March 2013, as we may need them for possible reshoots.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Since we've already completed principal photography, there is relatively little risk associated with this project. We already have the footage we need, and I've worked with every member of our post team on other projects. They're smart people who know how to deliver a screwball comedy. If we can raise the money, we can finish the film.
The only significant risk to the rewards is that a costume or prop might be damaged during filming if we exceed our minimum funding and we're able to shoot some additional scenes or FX shots. For the most part, this is likely to be scratches to the paint. (The action figures in particular tend to take a beating in the hands of child actors.) In the event of a more noticeable defect, like a tear in a costume, we'll do our best to repair it before shipping.
