The SPECTRUM deck is already going into it's second printing, MONTHS before expected! Thanks everyone! You are pledging on the "Black Seal SPECTRUM" deck. This awesome deck of cards won't change and the description below still applies! Thanks to everyone!!!
The SPECTRUM deck is not a trick. It's a UNIQUE and BEAUTIFUL deck of cards which CAN be used in many magic effects.
My name is Cosmo Solano. I'm a professional magician/creator and currently have a line of products on the market. My latest project is the SPECTRUM deck.
The SPECTRUM deck is the world's first and only TRUE Bicycle rainbow deck! What does that mean exactly? In 2001, I had been performing a "rainbow deck" routine for years and always WISHED that I could LITERALLY change the color of the deck not the cards.
(A TRUE color change wouldn't involve changing back design, JUST the color!) Changing the deck was a nice trick, but not MAGIC.
Armed with an inkjet printer and piles of blank backed cards, I spent days creating my own Bicycle "rainbow deck." The next time I performed the effect the result was ASTOUNDING! The reaction was dramatically stronger!
Unfortunately, the art department at the U.S. Playing Card Company told me that it couldn't be produced affordably! That was then, this is now... recently I began the effort again and after working closely with the U.S.P.C.C. we're making it happen!
Awesome for magic, a must for collectors!
Back in 2003 at the Las Vegas Magic Invitational, many of my friends, Dean Dill, Armando Lucero, Tim Trono, John Carney (to drop names!) loved the home-made rainbow deck! And recently while printing posters etc, everyone at the print shop wanted one! I realized that beyond the magic applications, there was simply something VERY COOL about the SPECTRUM DECK!
Many of my CARD COLLECTOR friends, magicians and non-magicians have gotten very excited about these cards. Not only are they great for magic effects, they make a beautiful display and AWESOME FLOURISHES. The SPECTRUM deck is the first and only deck of its kind!
Rewards: Decks, uncut sheets and exclusive posters!
$5 Reward for magicians:Website access for those of you who would like to get routines, ideas and more to complement and get more use out of your SPECTRUM deck. Future access will be $10.00 after the Kickstarter campaign ends.
(Added note: I was editing at the last minute, and accidentally left half a sentence in the 10$ pledge field... " I will post what it is and who they are right here on the front page! " As I was trying to delete it the first pledge came in within a minute! I couldn't fix it! Please disregard! Sorry!)
The CardsThe cards will retail for $14.95 after the campaign. Pledging here reserves your deck(s) and will save you AT LEAST 30%!

The Kickstarter ONLY Poster #1
While attempting to print out the colors so that I could "visualize" them better I found that the cards make for an awesome poster! The poster measures 16X20" and looks AMAZING! (mine hangs framed near my pool table) This poster is available ONLY to Kickstarter supporters and WILL NOT BE SOLD anywhere else! They will be numbered (signed upon request) and distributed in the order in which they are purchased.
LIMITED EDITION, SIGNED, POSTER #2!
Poster Details: Both posters measure 16X20", printed on heavy, high-quality, resin-coated, photo-based paper with the latest in microporous coating technology. Matte finish. Archival paper with 50-year longevity. As those who know me will attest, I get kind of anxious and excited when working on a new project... I designed the SPECTRUM deck poster early on, liked it so much that I had dozens of them printed! Then I changed the name from SPECTRUM 52 to "the SPECTRUM deck". These posters are beautiful! But the little "oops" means I won't be making any more. I'm keeping a few for myself and making the rest available here! (Signed by request) Get one while they last! These posters will NOT be reprinted.
GENUINE UNCUT SHEETS
The highly collectible uncut sheets direct from the U.S. Playing Card Company are a wonder to behold! The vibrant color combination makes this the ONE you won't want to just archive! A gorgeous display of all 56 faces and different colored backs! Limited numbers available.

More for magicians...
"The little things"
First of all, there's a reveal in the Guarantee Joker. Yes, I could have flooded the cards with reveals, but this deck really is awesome for color changing deck routines! I wanted to keep it simple to preserve the SPECTRUM deck's beauty.
From the extra cool department: The cards will have something very "special" (for magicians) about the way they are packaged at the factory... In an effort to make a beautiful deck of cards that ALSO serves as a great magic prop I realized that the gradient color order of the cards (as shown in the card spread graphic above), shouldn't be when they're in new deck, (Ace through King) order. They should be in color order when the deck appears to be mixed. We've gone to the effort and extra expense to rearrange the order in which cards are printed at the factory, so that when you spread what appears to be a mixed up deck on the faces, the perfect spectrum is on the backs! When you get the deck they will "appear" to be mixed up already! But there's a secret order to them! (Just imagine Si Stebbins set the deck up for you at the factory... 'nuf said!)
One more thing... The deck has been set up in a way that also allows you to give it a red back look or a blue back look, without messing up the spectrum. the Ace of Spade has the traditional blue back and falls right at the center of the deck. So whether you're a blue deck person or red, you can work this into your routines!
Also no matter where you cut the deck the spectrum works. In other words, the bottom most card leads to the top card in the spectrum!
And even if the cards are mixed up (not in the order you see in the graphics and videos) the deck STILL LOOKS AMAZING!
Why Kickstarter and why such a low goal amount?
It's becoming fairly common knowledge that it takes a significant investment to produce a high quality, professional deck of playing cards... So why is the goal not in the tens of thousands?
After weeks researching hundreds of Kickstarter projects I noticed that if one falls even just a few dollars short it gets scrapped leaving those who DID support the project disappointed AND some great ideas never get produced.
I'm going "ALL IN" with you and not expecting you to be the sole funding here. (although should that happen I will breathe a lot easier!) Yes it takes a lot more than the $3500 goal to make this happen. However I've dreamed of making this deck for over a decade now so no matter how this particular campaign goes, I'm committed to see it through. It's a huge risk to back the project on my own, since I don't have the extra money "under a mattress" somewhere. The project is already underway at the USPCC. I'm committed... (good news for those of you who don't want to wait any longer than you have to!) If no one backs this... well, I'll be peddling decks door to door to replace money that was supposed to put food on the table! But I feel pretty good about it! So the smaller amount is good for BOTH of us... supporters who want the deck, and me, who wants to be sure the project does get funded.
Okay... so if the deck's getting produced no matter what, why pledge here? Why not just wait and order them later?
- Price As a way to thank those who pledge here for their support, the decks are discounted at LEAST 30% off of the intended retail.
- Time Everyone wants to be the first kid on the block!!! Get them now before they sell out and you get bragging rights!
You will be sent a survey asking for your shipping information. As advised, I will be sending the survey out just before we ship so that we can get the most up to date and accurate information from you.
Absolutely! Various dealers will carry the SPECTRUM deck sometime towards the end of April. Kickstarter was a "pre-order" opportunity and unfortunately it has ended, but you can still pre-order it at http:www.tricksite.com as well. Use kickstarter as a coupon code for a discount off of regular retail. Keep in mind the pricing here on kickstarter was a very special price and that the retail will be $14.95 once it's available!
Because of the way the kickstarter system works it's impossible to make a reward tier for every combination. Many people had unique reward combinations. You will be sent a survey before shipping starts, to verify exactly what you pledged for. It will be simple and easy to complete, all shipments will be based on this.
