PLAYING THE GAME
(Would you rather watch and listen than read? New video links at www.straightjabmedia.com )
Playing Title Bout II is a simple but involved process due to myriad possible outcomes that lead to branching actions. For example, a punch that lands could lead to a knockdown, which could lead to a knockout. That same punch, if it failed to produce a knockout, might open a cut over the opponent's eye, which could lead to a technical knockout if the gash were bad enough. If no stoppage occurred, the fight would continue but "killer instinct" might now be in effect.
So you can see that a single action can lead to a wide variety of possibilities.
All of this, however, is the result of an interaction between the fighter cards, the Boxing Action deck and the tables. It's quick, easy and fun.
Here is an overview of how the game proceeds, once started.
For a complete understanding of the game, please go to www.straightjabmedia.com and download the complete rules, with illustrated example on how to play Title Bout II.
The fighter who is considered the Aggressor at the beginning of a round is in control. He flips the next card on top of the BAC deck and make an “ACTION” check.
Determining an Action Once a fighter has gained control
Flip the next BAC and apply the RN to the fighter’s Action Section on his individual card. This will result in a wide variety of results, many of them leading to branching steps:
Punches Landed: if a punch lands, a fighter scores points and may trigger an additional result, such as a knockdown, a cut, a foul or an injury.
Punches Missed: if a punch misses, no points are scored and the opponent may receive a chance to counter-punch.
Clinching: the fighters clinch, holding each other and preventing any action from taking place. The fighter who was in Control makes a new Control Check.
Ring Movement: the fighter is moving about the ring, trying to establish position. The fighter who was in Control flips the next card and checks Ring Position.
OTHER POSSIBILITIES THAT CAN ARISE DURING THE ACTION CHECK:
Foul: The fighter in control has possibly committed a foul.
Injury: The fighter in control may have been injured.
Special: The fighter in control may be involved in a rare occurrence.
Once an Action has been determined and the results of that Action seen through to its completion, the sequence begins again by establishing whether the fighter who was in Control remains so or if the fighter’s opponent gains control.

Risks and challenges
The only "risks" are if the project fails to achieve funding or a natural disaster strikes that prevents Bang Wee from creating the physical product and getting it to Straight Jab Media LLC (and that's me!). The product is completely designed and a production bid in place. With your backing, Title Bout II will not only be produced but you'll have the .pdf versions almost immediately and the awesome print version in early February.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
