Infernal Relics is the second expansion for the cooperative comic-book themed card game Sentinels of the Multiverse!
1,197 backers pledged $111,258 to help bring this project to life.

The next stretch reward levels!

We're on the last day of our second week, and we've really been moving right along!  Thanks to all of you for your continued support!

The next stretch reward level is $60k, and the reward we've been planning for that level is something we have received tons of requests for since the company started.  So, at the $60k level, we will produce a digital Sentinels of the Multiverse comic book of the Freedom Four Annual #1, written by Christopher Badell and drawn by Adam Rebottaro!  Everyone who backs this Kickstarter at ANY AMOUNT will receive a PDF of this comic book for free in early August.  We're very excited about this comic, as it tells the origin story of the team, the Freedom Four, and how they joined forces for the first time!

Here's our progress so far!

We have also received a lot of feedback about the promotional hero, Unity.  At the $75k level, we will have another promotional character!  Expect more details on him later this week, but what I can tell you is that he is a villain, he is the nemesis of one of the characters from the Sentinels of the Multiverse core game, and he will be absolutely free!

Thanks again, everyone!

Why just assume it's a villain for a hero who doesn't already have one? It's a promo! They can go totally nuts with it! I'm personally hoping for another nemesis for the Wraith. :3

Hmmm, it should be there. Have you refreshed your images? I'm seeing the new meter.

    3. GreaterThanGames 12-time creator on April 30, 2012

It is! If you are still seeing the old graph, you will need to refresh your browser because you have it cached locally.

This updated graph needs to go on the main page.

I agree with both of Aaron's suggestions.

So, if we can maintain above a $50 per hour donation average, we'll definitely get the promo villain, but it'll be close. The solution is obvious, then. START HOCKING THE KICKSTARTER EVERYWHERE.

      A Second thought:
People who read the updates know that you have to add an extra $5 to your pledge to get Unity.
However, just from reading the front page, that is not really clear, since she only appears on the stretch meter and it looks like another promo.
You may want to consider making a comment on the front page about her costing extra. Mostly as a form of disclaimer/legal coverage to make sure no-one can come back at you later saying "where is my Unity deck?"

      Paul, just a thought here...
I think it might help drive pledges up faster if you change the stretch goal graphic for the 75k goal. Instead of "???", it might inspire more people to pledge if it was something like "New Villian: Unrevealed". It would make it clear that the stretch goal was a new villain on the front page without revealing any new information. It seems like most kickstarters have a higher pledge rate when the stretch goals are more specific...

We do not currently have plans to release the comic book in physical form. However, if people enjoy the comic and there is demand, we certainly a) have ideas for many many more comic books and b) would look into getting physical copies printed.

I'm a little disappointed that the next bonus character is a villain but that's just my bias toward wanting more heroes. Please make another stretch goal that is another hero. I would be so grateful. And I agree, I'd really like to see Bunker's or Absolute Zero's nemesis as well.

I think rate of pledge will increase again now that we have, not 1 but 2, defined stretch rewards. I want to see what will be beyond the nemesis for abs zero/bunker (assuming due to fan favorite-dom).

I remember being not to sure about whether or not we were going to make it to alternate Baron Blade. Turns out we made that easily, so I'll just shut up and watch the pledges go up and and :P

Hmm, ANY of the remaining core Nemeses would be nice to have, but Bunker and Abs might have the most interesting villains.

Also Visionary, but I always figure her own Nemesis is going to be another her.

    14. ReptilianSamurai on April 30, 2012

I'd happily pay a bit extra to get a physical copy of the comic book. PDFs are nice, but I like my comics on printed paper. Any chance of that being available?

    15. Alex Hanson on April 30, 2012

If I could pledge more, I would. More heroes! More villains! I'm tapped out! They raised $55k by halftime, so another $20K before the end is possible!
Hopefully, if this one doesn't hit $75k, they'll offer the promo villain with the next expansion's campaign.
And ever since I bought the game, I've been looking at the "quotes" from the comic books and thinking, "I'd read the hell out of that." And now, I'll probably get to!

    16. Broomstick Monkey Games on April 30, 2012

Not that this will have any effect on what they've already decided to do, but I second the vote for an Absolute Zero villain!

      In either case: woot woot!

    17. David A. Harris on April 30, 2012

ADD: I forgot to to say. Thanks for the update! I always read the flavor text and the bios.

    18. David A. Harris on April 30, 2012

That's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure.

    19. Aaron Bowyer on April 30, 2012

I believe that Absolute Zero joined the Freedom Five a bit after it was formed?

    20. GreaterThanGames 12-time creator on April 30, 2012

Ah yes! It *becomes* the Freedom Five, but super dedicated readers of flavor text and character bios will know that it started out as the Freedom Four before Absolute Zero joined :)

    21. David K. on April 30, 2012

Awesome! Can't wait to see it.

$20K more then we are at right now? Wow...that will be a stretch for sure. Love to see it happen though. Who hasn't had a nemesis (assuming this isn't a second nemesis to a character)? Absolute Zero, Bunker, Haka, The Visionary.
