Well put Benjamin. I keep looking for the return but no such luck.
I think it's time to resurrect this project. It has a strong premise (ripping off Al Lowe) that was never fully explored. The time is right. Let's see a second campaign!!

I'll post to break your streak Riggo. I check time to time. :)
Since I have the last 3 comments over a 6 month period, I realize this may have turned into a personal comment section.
OK...Months since th last comment... Come on Steve and Ken.... We need a comment here!!! :-)
Any news on the re-launch?
Ken and Steve... We will be waiting for the re-boot.
I wish you good luck for the future! I want to be part of it again if it's relaunched. We really need this game to be made :-) Take care!!!
I'd personally like to thank everyone who has been so positive and supportive of the project. I'm still very excited about the prospect of working on this game and hope the re-grouping is something that happens quickly, but more importantly I'm sure it's something that will strengthen the project overall.
I'd also like to thank Ken and the Wisecrack team for giving me the opportunity to be involved with Sam Suede. Even when there were some unfortunate things being suggested it didn't detract from the inherent quality.
Good luck guys. Don't forget to tell us when you're back! =D
Goodluck.. Don't wait too long to return ;-)
I'll be supporting you again when you come back :)
I wish all the folks at Wisecrack Games the very best moving forward. @Steve- Thanks for your ongoing positive support for this project! It still sounds like a great concept, with a great team, and a great development team. Long live Sam Suede!
This was for the best. Soon you'll come out guns blazing and next time no one will derail you. :)
The game definitely had promise. Hope one way or another you're able to make another go at it. If you decide to Kickstart again, I'll definitely re-up my pledge.
I am sorry to see this but regroup and I will be back!
hope we get a message when the project will be re-launched.
Good luck, hope to hear from you soon
@Marc Kloosterman People should stop being stupid and learn to read also.
The creator of the "Grim Dawn" project had to post an update after the kickstarter ended, because people where sending him emails asking for the keys to play the game and the game itself, which obviously isn't ready until months from now.
Good luck going forward guys. We'll be watching for you.
As I stated in the update, it is regrettable but not unforeseen. I do wish you luck in whatever you do in the future and will support Sam Suede.
Update #10 Sam Suede Kickstarter Cancellation Notice
First and foremost, to all of the committed backers and supporters of Sam Suede in Undercover Exposure, we are truly thankful for your valuable support of this project!
After much deliberation, we have decided to take a step back, regroup and brainstorm as to the best approach to re-launching this project.
Within an hour of the Kickstarter launch, erroneous and misleading information was posted and declared to the media about Wisecrack Games, attempting to derail any progress of this Kickstarter campaign. It was the leg work and research of the gaming community that revealed the foul play. Eventually, the truth prevailed, albeit too late.
For that, we embrace your integrity and commitment!
We would also like to thank and recognize our partners. Steve Ince has been a great champion of Sam Suede and worked tirelessly to help with this Kickstarter effort.
And to Wizarbox. Thank you for your time, effort and support of Sam Suede.
We will continue working with Steve and the Wizarbox team as we re-group and press forward despite this unfortunate setback.
We are very confident in the direction we are headed to bring this game to fruition.
...we have the experience!
...we have the creative talent!
...we have the motivation!
...and we have the resources!
We now only need funding and support to make this a reality!
We would love to hear from you, the gaming and Kickstarter communities, to express what you would like to see, moving forward.
Don't hesitate to contact us through our website at: http://www.wisecrackgames.com/contact.htm
Thank you again!

Not quite sure about how well the gameplay maehanics will match my adventure game tastes, but still, I'm in.
The prototypes were critical to SpaceVenutre. I know the first one helped change my mind once I saw part of their vision which I could interact with.
Hey guys.. Would love to see this succeed. Looks awesome.
@Frogacuda - ha yes! People thought that SpaceVenture would be just a HTML5/Chrome browser game! That was funny.
this is horrible, I want this game:( what can we do to get this thing going???
Jennifer: I think if you watched the numbers, the SpaceVenture protos actually had the opposite effect.
@Serena Nelson. Nice article, but you made it seem like there were no adventures between the Sierra/Lucas Arts days and todays Kickstarter projects. What about Telltale Games? A resurrection of Sam & Max and Monkey Island, two much loved Lucas IPs? And a half dozen more titles.
Updated my article. Now with 42% more Serena goodness. And something about a new adventure game...I think it's called Jack Houston or something.
@Jennifer - The problem with a demo is that so much work has to be done just to start creating it - locations, characters, animation, gameplay scripts, etc. It's a lot of money and resources we won't have until the project is funded. SpaceVenture is a different kettle of fish. Sorry.
Any chance for a demo? Whenever SpaceVenture released a prototype demo they got a spike in backers. :) It would definitely help those adventure game fans on the fence if they could get a taste of just how the game plays.
Thanks for all the positive vibes, it's really encouraging.
@Marc - We wouldn't want to forget that Al contributed substantially to the original design. I'm a strong believer in credit where it's due.
Good to see this project is picking up steam! Come on guys, we can do it.
Maybe the relaunch should be a little less Al-centric, now that you wrote that he's not really on the current project.
I really hope if this doesn't make it you guys will consider a relaunch with a revised pitch later on. Some unfair bad press really derailed a promising project from doing much better than it should here.
@John - Thanks. I can't wait for it to be funded. :)
@ Steve, Ah thats very cool, thanks for the background. I can't wait for this to be finished!
I think you guys choose a really bad moment to start this kickstarter due to all the other high profile projects that were going on at the same time. Kicktraq is making a 5% projection, which is way worse than Two Guys SpaceVenture, and they only barely made it. Its looking really grim for Sam Suede at this moment. To raise 500k you need around 10k backers.
@John - Actually, the original idea was Ken's. Al came out of retirement to work on the design with Ken, which shows how much he liked it, and a lot of work has already been done in that area. Going forward, there will be no further input from Al - Ken and I will take the original design and work with Wizarbox to develop a great game.
Other than the idea, will this game have any input from Al Lowe?
Hi, everyone. Just checking in.
It's Friday and it's raining so cheer me up with lots of friendly support for Sam Suede over the weekend. Spread the word, spread the love.
Posted Update #9: New Sam Suede incremental goals!
And make sure you check out the Sam Suede FAQ section.
@Sriram Thanks for stopping by!
We are doing our best to generate more buzz and build momentum.
New Intellectual properties often need more of a push, since we don't have an existing fan base.
Having an outstanding team in place, we are eager to build and deliver a great game, and hopefully entice the adventure fans out there to band together and give us their support.
Help spread the word through email, Facebook, forums, whatever means possible.
We love to hear your input!
I hate to sound pessimistic but have you guys exhausted all avenues in getting the word out about this game and the kickstarter? Don't get me wrong, I really want more adventure games coming out and with the recent successes of other adventure games here on KS it's definitely very encouraging. Thats also why I backed this project.
It's just disheartening seeing the low amount of activity on here though.
That's cool of you to expand the information.
I updated my blog post to include brief descriptions of each game and if they're funded or working on stretch goals. I also mentioned how long each project has left.
Here's a little something that I whipped up in support of the Adventure Game Revival Movement:
Oh, yes. No actual goats or chickens were harmed. *wink, wink*
