About this project
Krammer & Stoudt is a fine menswear brand and a partnership between us, designer Michael Rubin and photographer Courtenay Nearburg.
We launched the Fall 2012 Collection just over a month ago. We're so proud of the quality, the fabrics, the concept, and the appeal of our first collection! We hope you'll check it out on our website and Facebook page and let us know what you think.
Now we have to produce the samples for Spring/Summer 2013, and we need your help to move forward.
We believe in the vision we have for Krammer & Stoudt, that it can continue to be made in the United States, in the garment districts of LA and New York.
Please watch the video to see some of the people behind the beautiful pieces that make up our first collection...
For our inspiration, we looked to the history of Los Angeles. The city has a tradition of custom tailoring that has embraced individuality, charisma and wit. They were dressing the icons of men's style, Grant, Cooper, Gene Kelly, Humphrey Bogart. We feel men have a real desire to be dressed well today, in beautifully crafted pieces, made here in the United States, sewn by tailors with years of experience.
We want to continue with this 'thread'...SS13 is going to be a beautiful, bold, and seriously cool collection, and we REALLY want to make it!
Whatever you can contribute is so deeply appreciated. If you post this campaign to your Facebook page by clicking on the 'Share' button, you will be sharing with all of your friends whom we don't know but would like to, and you would be contributing even more to our efforts to get Krammer & Stoudt out there!
Our goal of $10,000 is set to allow us to order fabrics and produce the samples for 10 styles, with duplicates, for the Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. Your funds will allow us to make patterns, purchase sample fabric, and cut and sew the samples. We have outlined broad giving opportunities that include made-to-measure K&S pieces as incentives for your support of the growth of our line. We hope you'll take advantage of those incentives, because, bottom-line, we want you dressed in Krammer & Stoudt! What better advertising could we ask for? :)
Any additional funds we raise beyond our goal will be dedicated to sales and marketing of the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, including attending the summer trade shows, the production of sales kits and promotional materials, and PR services.
Mike and I thank you so so much for your support. It means everything to us that people have cared about the clothing and encouraged us in this adventure. We really want to make you proud to say you backed Krammer & Stoudt from the beginning!
Courtenay and Mike
