Conception / Development
Manufacturing / Fulfillment
Once successfully funded we will begin the first demand run of The Loo Hook. The entire manufacturing process will be conducted at Sankuer Composite technologies located in Sterling Heights Michigan.http://sankuercompositetech.com/. The Carbon Fiber that each hook will be crafted from will begin in the raw form and will be developed onsite to the necessary specifications. Once each run has been cut each hook will be hand finished to ensure the highest quality end product. After inspection the piece will be packaged onsite and readied for transfer to the nearby fulfillment center for proper distribution. We are fortunate in the fact that we have one of the largest fulfillment companies in the country in our back yard and we know the players there.
We Need Your Support
Bringing a product to market with the intention of offering it large scale is a capital intensive undertaking. A lot of time and a lot of money goes into creating an infrastructure that not only fits ones small scale needs, but has the capacity to quickly expand to meet ones needs as one grows into a larger scale operation. We have 99% of what we need in place from an infrastructure stand point and that is where 99% of our available capital was consumed. The manufacturing process, the packaging, the customer service/support structure, the fulfillment structure, AR/AP, the intellectual property protections are all in place; but we need your support to make the leap forward with our customer facing material. Your support will allow us to get the professional photography we need to complete our website, as well as, the marketing material necessary for our online presence.
Risks and challenges
The project is a long time coming and we have everything we need in place to begin moving forward. This first demand production run will give us an opportunity to stretch our legs and see how the mechanisms we created hold up. From a design perspective we are very confident we got it right. The final design is the result of countless hours of field testing and an evolution of form based on feedback from our beta testers which were drawn from a variety of occupations and walks of life. We still may make small refinements in the future, but the design is go forward. One iteration that will certainly be offered in the future is a version with a passage in the lower hook that will allow for a cord or cable to be passed through for attachment to back packs. In addition to the backpackers version we will be offering a high quality plastic version meant specifically for coats, and purses.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
