oVRshot is a team based competitive multiplayer bow shooter in VR where players fight for dominance in 3 vs 3 arena matches. The game captures the fast paced competitive nature of team based shooters like Counter Strike, Team Fortress and Overwatch and brings it to VR.
Log in, gather your team of two friends or just throw a headset on your cat and hope that he does not betray you.
Armed with a bow in one hand and a buckler on the other you dart around the battlefield shooting at your enemies while deflecting incoming fire.
Working as a team you yell out commands as you push with your teammates from objective to objective while the other team scrambles to defend.
Along the way you claim key areas on the map that house power ups and use them to more effectively push forward until you have won the round.
With the round won the tables are turned and time to see if you are as good at defending as you were at attacking.
VR, if done correctly, increases immersion and spacial awareness of the player both of which are important to shooters. Instead of watching through an avatar on a screen you watch through your own eyes. That makes moments like when an arrow is coming straight for your face and you barely dodge to the side that much more epic.
We are aware of the movement limitations in VR in regards to VR sickness and have designed our game around avoiding them. Luckily our programmers are so well versed in VR locomotion that you might say they wrote a paper on it. Well actually they did, they wrote their bachelor thesis on it and to date none of our testers has complained about VR sickness.
The development started in January 2017 while we were still at University and developing the game on the side. We tested an early prototype at a local media convention where two players fought in a first to ten match and the feedback from there pushed us to form a company and focus our effort on this project.
The game has come a long way since then and currently supports 3 vs 3 competitive play in a fully functioning phase based demolition mode. Our current focus is on designing the level to be balanced and facilitate cool fast paced game play to show off and create buzz around the game.

Window Licker Games is a VR/AR game development company located in the cold and frozen north of Norway. We are currently four full time developers that met while studying game design and recently got a part time intern.
We are thrilled to have had this opportunity to reach out to you and hopefully convey our passion and dedication around oVRshot to you.
Thank you for watching our video and taking the time to read through our Kickstarter. Thank you in advance for your support!
Risks and challenges
The main risk as it is with all games that are exclusively multiplayer is having a strong community/player base. The main funding for this project is not coming from Kickstarter and thus does not rely on this funding. However we are relying on you guys to help us get the message out there and build a strong and healthy community/player base for the games launch.
Unforeseen complications might cause delays however as of now we don't see a scenario where early access wont start in March 2018.
If however Martins cat goes on a rampage and takes us all out there is nothing to be done about that so lets just cross our fingers and hope he remains a fuzzy lazy boy.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
