The Hunger Games meets classic monster cinema in an action-packed tale of terror. Undead LILY fights ghouls, deciding world's fate!
"GAME OF HORROR is pulp action as you like it, with all the nasty frills you need." -Bram Stoker Award-winner, Joe R. Lansdale, author of Bubba Ho-Tep and 30 Days of Night: Night, Again
https://www.facebook.com/GameOfHorror GAME OF HORROR is an 88-page original graphic novel by me, writer/creator Shane Berryhill (author of Chance Fortune and the Outlaws from Tor) and artist James E. Lyle (Caliber, Zenescope). Game of Horror is best described as The Hunger Games meets classic monster cinema. It features LILY, a teenage, reanimated, patchwork corpse who must fight to the death in a gladiatorial-style tournament against other monsters to decide the fate of the world. Game of Horror serves as an allegorical rebuke of the evils of human-trafficking. The first chapter/issue of the planned four chapter/issue original graphic novel is complete, online, and available for you to view here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.387361351351238.100131.359533657467341&type=1. To take Game of Horror to the next level and finish, publish, market, and distribute the first OGN, James and I need you to back the Game of Horror Kickstarter. We've lined up some very cool rewards to give in thanks for your hard-earned dollars. The DIY comics scene has always reminded me of the relationship between Ray Bradbury, Ray Harryhausen, and Forrest J. Ackerman. Together, they formed an oddball family of writer, artist, and fan. James and I hope you'll think of us as oddball uncles who can't wait to share Game of Horror with you:) Thanks for your support!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
A lot of personal time, effort, and money goes in to producing an original graphic novel--especially an independent one--even when it's Kickstarted by generous people like you. In order for James (and company) to produce the best work possible, he needs time to do so. Meanwhile, life happens. There are bills, day jobs, emergencies, family, and other things we have no way to see coming. If you, good people, make this Kickstarter successful, I estimate that it will take at least a year before the graphic novel is published, and the higher-end rewards are shipped. Thanks in advance for your patience.
