There are a lot of techniques and equipment to choose from. These can set you back hundreds, if not thousands of dollars per technique - this is OK if you're a professional and making money on your investment.
However most of us are limited to standard kits due to the high cost of professional gear.

This video shows capturing one location in many ways using the OhSoh Uno Motion controller and DIY Rig.

Function/Design:
OhSoh Uno is designed to be a flexible top quality motion controller capable of driving multiple standard motors (steppers that people may have) and to enable you to make/design your own hardware - saving lots of dollars in the process.

The controller is re-configurable, allowing it to be more than a motion controller for time lapse photography. You, as a photographer, would then only be limited by your imagination and desire to push the limits of your skill and equipment.
Affordable = DIY - We provide the mechanical part files fully optimised ready to 3D print and laser cut for the rig. We also encourage and challenge you to design your own rig, with parts that are available in your area and share them on our website to help others to build, use and enjoy

'One Controller - Multiple Uses'

Why buy a complete new product every time you want to try something new? With multiple digital and analog inputs/outputs and Hi-Precision timing the OhSoh UnO Controller is capable of driving much more than motion control - other features will* include:
- 360° product photos
- Zip Time
- Panoramas
- Water drop photography
- Shutter control (star trails)
- Lightning photography
(* the OhSoh UnO will be delivered with 'time lapse' firmware. The additional features will be added after delivery as they are developed (depending on what Stretch goals are met))
OhSoh UnO is re-programmable via USB so you can enjoy new features/techiques as we develop them (as mentioned above). Your OhSoh UnO Motion Controller can be continuously improved therefore never going out of date.
In the commercially released versions the new features mentioned above will be available via 'unlock codes' (unique to each OhSoh Uno). So for a fee users will be able to add extra functionality to OhSoh Uno without the need to buy a whole new system.
However if the stretch goals (detailed at the end) are met then Kickstarter supporters will start receiving these unlock codes for free!
Feature Example - 360 spin:

360 degree product photos for E-commerce made EASY. Simply select the 'amount of movement' you require between photos and the 'wait time' after movement to ensure the object being photographed is stationary and press 'Start'.

You can also select 'auto' or 'manual' advance. If you select 'manual' you can make changes to the scene, if required, in-between shots.

Where it's at:
We have a working prototype.

We have a working prototype. It is giving us easy set-up and great results. We are currently 'beefing up' the hardware for good performance in light to moderate winds.
The firmware is providing an easy to use, solid foundation to build on. We can't wait to hear what you want to do with it so we can build in the features that you want. So tell us what you want!

We are already working on additional functionality in anticipation of being funded!! We have completed the 360 Spin functionality and working on our next feature ...
For example : Zip Time
'Zip time' is a function where you can enter the number of hours as you want to compress into your end video.
This is great when you've got a specific event happening and you know the duration - like travelling to the bach (holiday home) at Kaiteriteri, it takes 45 minutes and I want to compress this down to 15 seconds. 'Zip time' will calculate the number of photos required and the duration between them. You just select the times the you want and hit 'go'.

Mechanical plans:
The mechanical plans will be provided as a downloadable zip file - containing assembly instructions and all the files needed ready to send straight to your 3d Printer and Laser cutter.
Fittings pack:
The fittings pack contains all the required screws, bolts, nuts and bearings to assemble the Slider, Pan & Tilt Zoom/Focus head and the Laser cut parts.
Mechanical pack:
The Mechanical pack contains all the required parts to make the hardware Slider, Pan & Tilt Zoom/Focus head. Includes:
- 3D printed parts
- Laser cut parts
- Fittings pack
- Aluminum pipes
- Stepper motors x 4
- String, etc.

Risks and challenges
Most things in life come with some type of risk. With any product development there is surely always risk involved, for example supplier chain delays
Luckily the risks for OhSoh Uno are greatly minimised due to the rigorous prototype testing, the DIY element of the hardware and the trusted relationships we have built with our electronic part suppliers.
However, catastrophic and unforeseen events have been known to happen ... and can disrupt scheduled supplier deadlines and shipment dates.
We, in recognising this, remain committed to hitting our scheduled ship date, or earlier, and have complete faith in our partnership with our suppliers.
