Autoscion, thanks for your question. We will post an official update soon when we gather a little more information. But basically, the final version of the bags were approved a couple of weeks ago and production from the factory is already underway. As for the electronics, we are scheduled to do SMT Pick and Place assembly within the next couple of weeks.

Hi, any updates regarding the bag?

    3. Michael Creator on April 12, 2018

Wei kwan, thanks for your question. Sorry for the seemingly lack of updates. We are planning to post an update for everyone on the 16th, which will include our progress with production as well as updates on several upgrades we made to the bags since our last prototype. Please stay tuned.

Hi, is there any progress update ?

    5. Michael Creator on February 9, 2018

Tom Kuan, yes, the bottom padding is strong enough for the backpack to stand even without anything in the shoe compartment.

    6. Tom Kuan on February 9, 2018

Could the backpack stand straight without anything in the shoe compartment?

DaVal, we do have a few more pictures of the security blanket itself that didn't quite make it to the campaign page:

And here is a fact sheet that talks a little bit more about the technical aspects of the technology:

      Yes, correct.

Hi DaVal, thanks for your question. By a pouch, do you mean a small bag in which you can put the blanket in when not in use?

      Hi Michael,
Is a pouch available for backers who bid on the blanket only?
Or its a possible stretch goal?😬
Can we have more info and pictures on the blanket?
      Thanks

Jacob Lim, thanks for your question. I will try to take a picture of that and send it to you.

can you take a pic of the discovery bag with a model that is 5"5 in height? :)

Thank answer to great product. :-D

    15. Michael Creator on January 12, 2018

Aann Thee, we are based in Hong Kong where humidity is typically over 95 percent. From our testing, we have never experienced any problems with the sensors due to humidity.

    16. Aann Thee on January 12, 2018

If the security blanket is humid. Will the sensor lose performance?

Aristyo Rahadiyan, thank you for your question and interest in CabinR. The Vista Messenger is pretty spacious and will fit your camera and a few lenses. Although it is well padded as an everyday travel bag, you may want to add additional padding for professional camera gear.

You can completely turn off the security feature by holding the RFID key card on top of the device for a couple of seconds. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks!

Hi there, excited for the bags!

I especially looking forward to use the messenger bag as my camera bag. Do you think it will serve me well? I have mirrorless camera (Fujifilm X-T2) and few lenses (not big zoom lenses).

Furthermore, since you do not have the "off" button, how do you fully turn it off? There will be a period of time where I need to frequently open and close the bag to take my stuffs out. I do not want to always tap my card in order to access my bag, that won't be convenient at all.

Looking forward for more detailed explanation. Thanks!

Aann Thee, thank for your question. We do have a couple more photos of just the blanket and some additional information that didn't make it to the campaign page. Please send me an email at realperson@cabinr.com and we will reply with the information. Feel free to ask us about anything. Thanks!!

      Thanks.
