Tragedy hits a small town in eastern Idaho when five children are killed in a house fire. Erik Hill, the father, is blamed for their deaths. Time passes, the father seems to disappear from the town but the mystery of the haunted swing does not. Locals claim to witness some supernatural presence at the swing, located near the spot where the Hill home once stood. Among these locals is young, independent man named Sam who quickly finds himself entangled in the disturbing case of the swing.
"The Haunted Swing" will begin production in January of 2013. This film is not your overdone bloody horror film but a well-crafted thriller aimed to scare! We want to entertain audiences by introducing them to the unique locations of eastern Idaho and the hidden local tales that need to be told. The swing has been a reoccurring hot spot for locals and visitors to get a scare from the creak of the swing, or the laughter of the children who are looking for someone to play with.

How can I help?
So we have premiere plans in the works, actors excited to participate, an amazing story, and equipment, props, and make-up to get our hands on but we need the funds to get there. That's where you all come in!
Nobody in the cast and/or crew are getting paid upfront and it's a project of passion for everyone. But passion doesn't pay for the details of production to make this so much more successful!
The movie will be sent to local and national film festivals come its completion in the fall of 2013. Also, there will be DVD releases upon completion and premieres. You can help all of this happen and be a part of this amazing process by helping with funding. Plus, there are awesome incentives as seen

Risks and challenges
We are hoping to get all of our ducks in a row so no problems arise but we can't plan for the unexpected.
Potential challenges may include: not having a complete budget to help fund for unforeseen project needs, time commitment from all involved including full-time students and actors, and issues with functional gear.
We are using personally owned gear to avoid any rental issues. We plan to go through with production rain or shine and see everything to the end regardless of hiccups.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
