Our Story
Over the past 3 years, Wasserstein has developed countless smart home accessories for Nest, Arlo, Echo, and Google Home. Now, we are excited to present our most ambitious product yet - Aqua Dew.
How did the idea turn into a Product?
We love Alexa and we also love spending time in the shower. I have had one of those cheap Bluetooth shower speakers for years and really liked it. However, after experiencing the seamless interactivity of Alexa - I found the Bluetooth shower speaker cumbersome (I had to choose the song BEFORE going into the shower) and had no way of changing them while I was in the shower - so we decided to make the world's first Alexa far-field speaker for the shower.
Since the eureka moment our team has been hard at work developing the world’s most versatile Alexa Smart Speaker.

Chris Maiwald - Founder
A citizen of Germany, Chris moved to the UK at the age of 19 to attend university. After years of working in the financial sector in London and Zurich, he moved to Hong Kong 3 years ago and started Wasserstein. Aqua Dew is by far the company’s most ambitious product. And Chris is, of course, proud as punch.
German Chan - Product Manager
With solid experience in engineering and product development, German has been working in the e-commerce sector for over five years now. Enthused by novel technology, he actively participated in the process of designing and engineering the Aqua Dew.
Jack So - e-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager
Jack never thought that he'd get a chance to participate in a Kickstarter campaign. Among friends, he's always the first to try new high-tech products. And this time, he's more than excited because he is a part of the people behind the world’s first ever waterproof Alexa speaker!

Statement from Chris Maiwald - Founder:
Wasserstein has been designing and manufacturing products for your smart home for 3 years. We have a solid track record of successfully executing hardware project and are determined to bring Aqua Dew to market. Production of the plastic injection tooling (the most expensive part of the project) has already begun and I personally guarantee that Aqua Dew will come to fruition. Our shipment date will be Q3 2019 which will leave enough room for rigorous quality control and testing. Thank you.
