And this is the house that all of your hard earned money helped to buy for the fraudster Billy May

Bill May is a crook and a fraud. After reading the comments, I now know I'm not the only one who didn't receive the product. Worst Kickstarter experience ever. No communication no courtesy.

      I guess he moved on:

      His new site: http://www.billy-may.com/
      His mail: willmay@gmail.com
      His mobile: 646.450.1945

I'll send an e-mail and ask for refund. Please call him if you live in US.

Its been so long, my computer no longer has USB 2.0 ports, and we're 8 months away from an iPhone that may not even have a lightning port. I feel like I should stop backing any tech projects on kickstarter.

Don't bother waiting for this POS. I ordered and received the 16pin connector a long time ago and the thing is worthless. The minute you plug it in you quickly realize that the connectors are not sturdy enough to hold the weight of the phone. Really less about the connector and more about the female end on the phone...just not built to support itself on an arm like this. You can flat out forget about a phablet or tablet. Sorry to those that lost money that did not receive product, but even those like me that did receive it, we still lost money. Mine has been sitting in the junk drawer since the day after I bought it. Who wants it! :)

The phone number listed below is still working. I called, spoke with Bill and he asked me to email my info. Will post the outcome once I see what he does.

So this is long dead money... William Thomas May is pretty proud of his experience and profile on LinkedIn. Perhaps someone in the greater NY area could call into his office/home (not sure which but his other company Test Type LLC is registered here) - 27 The Glen, Locust Valley, 11560. I find locust valley deeply ironic! I will keep digging and do everything I can to make his work life miserable if I can.

    24. Frank Talbot on April 10, 2015

You all understand this was a scam right? Bill is never coming back, and you'll never have your product.

Hell, search for "Stand Dock Holder Flexible Metal Sync Charger Micro USB Cable" on Google or eBay. Aren't those images familiar?

There's your Limb.al, for $4, coming straight from Hong Kong. They've been selling them for as long as this KS project as been running. I bought one myself in April 2013 and posted about it here back then when he was making excuses every couple months.

Bill probably ordered a batch for a much cheaper price, shipped some that he sold here for $17-25 each, and when people started having issues, I guess he figured that running away with the money was easier than shipping the rest and dealing with complaints. Considering Kickstarter doesn't care at all if scammers use their website as long as they get their cut, it was probably the smarter thing for him to do.

For those waiting for the Lightning connector, your best bet is probably the Trunk, which has been available since May 2013. You can easily find it online, but it's a lot more expensive, probably why Bill never bothered shipping any to you guys.

I've posted his last number a few posts down. Might still be worth giving it a shot, because you'll never receive anything if you haven't already.

Oh and to save you some trouble, I've tried a few of those items and they were all very badly designed and barely usable, even with light weight phones. Don't bother.

    25. Danny Wilson on April 2, 2015

I imagine projects fail for different reasons, but this has just been unfulfilled promises.

    26. Keith Paul Jr Kelly on February 28, 2015

Well will we every get anything?

    27. Joe Kiszka on January 26, 2015

Bill May - Send me my $55 back or deliver the damn product.

    28. Josh Turnage on January 6, 2015

Can someone update me on the status of this product. I signed up to receive the lightening limb.al but have not received the product. I had actually forgotten about it until going through my backer history checking off what I had received and noticed that this is the only unfulfilled product. Pretty frustrated as some of the comments appear to show that we have been scammed. If so, what options do we have for refunds. Does Kickstarter protect against this?

    29. Benjamin Reeves on November 24, 2014

Kickstarter really should have a system in place to prevent stealing of funds exactly like Bill May has done so with this project. Since never receiving the goods of this project despite it reaching the pledge goal - I have not backed another Kickstart project 2 years ago.

      Winston,
Bill (The Bastard) May is a thief plain and simple. The best we can hope for at this point is that Karma gets him and he gets hit by a bus or something.

    31. Frank Talbot on October 28, 2014

He probably changed his number but when I talked to him more than a year ago (I'm one of the few who got a refund), his number was 1-646-450-1945.

Seriously guys stop waiting, you won't receive anything. He hasn't logged in here for more than 2 months now, and he's clearly not working on this anymore. Bug him for your refund ASAP or count this as a loss.

    32. Winston J on October 24, 2014

Hey Bill, what happened to the lightning Limb.al you were going to produce? Did you just decide to not do it and pocket the rest of the funds? The lack of response to all your backers on this project just shows how much contempt you have for those who believed in you. Have you used the funds for personal gain or will you show us some respect and do the right thing by refunding what's owed, and save what's left of your integrity?
If we don't hear back from you, I guess you're content to let us believe you are Bill May -
of little moral fibre if any.

There will be no more refunds. The money has all been spent on his wedding, his new baby etc.

The Limb.al website was taken down a long time ago and he has recently deleted his Facebook link from his Kickstarter profile. Bill is clearly trying to distance himself from this project and the honest people he has chosen to swindle.

I'll repeat what I've said several times before; Bill is a thief, nothing more.

    34. Jeff Ringel on October 18, 2014

I got a refund a long time ago. If you really want a response from Bill or your money back take your communication off line. Do your homework and talk to Bill outside of KS. Don't do anything stupid but don't be afraid to TALK to Bill.

    35. Craig Paterson on October 15, 2014

Got my first Limb.al (very late, and which kind of worked) but never received the 2nd. I don't suppose I'll ever see the 2nd, or get a refund. Very, very disappointed.

I will be absolutely shocked if Bill comments on this project again. We've all been hoodwinked by a fraudster who has chosen to scam his way through life because he doesn't have the talent to achieve what he wants to in a legitimate way.

      What comes around goes around.

    41. Konrad on September 18, 2014

Refund Time! If there is any dignity left in this project, please refund our money!
I received a DOA micro-usb Limbal and the lightning version wasn't even sent. There is no communication whatsoever on Bill's part.

    42. Frank Talbot on September 15, 2014

@Tom, yeah I've posted that back on March 27th. It's been closed for a while. He really stole a lot of money. I got a refund (I'm one of the 2 lucky backers) but I'd highly recommend that the rest of you call the authorities on this scammer. He's still coming here from time to time (Last login Aug 20 2014) so I'm guessing he's (unfortunately) still alive.

      Dear Bill,

Next to the 'Post comment' button, it says -Be respectful and considerate-.

still wondering where you put that money I send you. It feels like steeling and I'm really sick of the fact that no reaction at all came on my messages, not the personal ones, not the ones on this message board.

What's happening? It's about time for either a product or a refund.

    45. Jay Seldon on September 5, 2014

Nothing in the UK either - but I did change my request to a lightning connector

    46. Tom on August 11, 2014

Still nothing received.... absolutely nothing :-(

    47. Jang on August 10, 2014

I'm gonna blame myself on this one. He's full of designing ideas, but none actually come to life. I fell for his computer rendered concepts.

I would rage, but there's this sentence reminding me to 'Be respectful and considerate.' next to the Post comment button. I'm respectful and considerate. ARE YOU BEING RESPECTFUL TO US, BILLY MAY?

    48. Anders J. Svensson on August 7, 2014

If you click Bill's Facebook link, you can see that we paid for his 2013 wedding and a recent baby. Based on this Kickstarter project, it's surprising that the baby was actually delivered. Also, we can assume the baby's arms are too weak to support an iPhone.
