Goals and Objectives
Raising partial funds for Westbrook student Photographers to participate in the Archangel Photography Exchange. 
  • The specific project goals for Westbrook students and students of the Arts are the skills 
    for engaging with culturally different others, such as: abilities to deal with ambiguity, be flexible, think critically; take the perspective of a culturally different person, and facilitate intercultural learning.
  • The objectives for Westbrook High School students is critical thinking in relation to personal growth through travel education in the arts.
  • Photography Exchange as pilot/model for future exchanges.

The Problem
3 students are invited; grant only covers the cost for one student
The Mission
Selling limited edition photographic prints in support of Archangel Photography Exchange: An international art education project that supports the creation and application of knowledge across disciplinary and methodological boundaries, to promote leadership, global understandings, and innovative artistic-practice in relation to real-world problems.
The Objective
To raise partial funds for Westbrook student photographers to participate in the Archangel Photography Exchange. 
The Fundraising Proposition
Selling the limited edition prints from our “A Day in the Life of the City” exhibition. Art fundraisers promote green initiatives, enhance public relations, create community spirit, establish a sophisticated image, and create positive exposure for Westbrook School Department and Westbrook High School student photographers. Selling limited edition prints comes at no added cost to Westbrook School Department or WHS Students.

Risks and challenges

In order to reach our goal we have to sell enough exhibition photographs to total $2500. If our goal is not reached, funds will be partially applied to additional students.
