Hello Freeport fans!
I've got a bunch of Freeport-related news for you today.
First up, the all-in-one volume of Return to Freeport (previously sent to you as individual PDFs) is complete and up for pre-order. Those of you from qualifying reward tiers (basically, anyone who pledged $30 or more except book only backers) should get an email today or tomorrow good for a free PDF of the finished book from DriveThruRPG. It collects all six chapters and fixes all known errata. Thanks to Tim Emrick, as always, for his keen eye for Freeport errata.
If you'd like to get a copy of Return to Freeport in print, you can pre-order this snazzy hardback here. It went to print a couple of weeks back, so it ought to ship towards the end of February.
Last year we started a fiction imprint called Nisaba Press and we've been publishing some Freeport short stories, with more Freeport fiction to come. We've collected the three stories we published in 2018 together into a collection called Dark Currents. $4.99 scores you that in three different formats (PDF, EPUB, and MOBI).
In other news, I revealed Green Ronin's plans for 2019 in a series of posts on our website this week. I talk about Freeport in part 1, along with The Expanse RPG, Blue Rose, and Nisaba. Part 2 covers Mutants & Masterminds, Sentinels of Earth-Prime, and 5E, while part 3 I talk about Modern AGE, Dragon Age, and Fantasy AGE. Lots of fun stuff planned for this year!
So, with Return to Freeport finally finished, there's only one part remaining to this Kickstarter. The AGE Freeport Companion was the very last stretch goal we unlocked and its delivery has been slow because of frequently shifting circumstances. Initially, our focus was of course on finishing the big book and that took a lot of effort. During the Kickstarter, we had no plans for the game that became Fantasy AGE. It was assumed the AGE Freeport Companion would be done with the Dragon Age game as its base. Once Fantasy AGE was going to be a thing, it made sense to wait until the game and its core supplements came out before taking this on. Obviously, we had hoped to have this taken care of before 2019 and I'm sorry it has been this long in coming. I am working on it now, however, and you'll have something later this year. Thanks for your patience.
OK, that's all my news. Enjoy Return to Freeport! Next year is Freeport's 20th anniversary and we have plans. Oh yes, we do!
