We're Ameriglow, a Greensboro-based musical adventure founded by Jacob Darden, and we are trying to press our upcoming LP "A Heavy Heaven for Robby," create and produce our own merch (T-shirts, buttons, stickers, etc.), and hit the road soon for our first tour! But these things require more money than we can all scrape together, and that's where you come into our story. Instead of sitting around hoping and dreaming a free van comes knocking on our door or a screen press is found just chilling in some trash can, we're asking you to help us out. Not only do we need cash for the big things like pressing our new album and buying a van, we are also raising funds for costs of touring (gas/food money), new music equipment, the materials to build our own four-color screen press, studio time, a button press, and (fingers crossed) vinyl pressing. Yeah, we're a little needy. But we care so much about the music we're making, and we would do almost anything to start expanding our sound to places outside of our beloved home-base, Greensboro.
(Please see our "full bio" to learn more about the band!)
The goal we have set would only cover about a third of these needs, but we would be humbled and flattered and just plumb flabbergasted and overwhelmed with joy if you all help us reach it!
Don't forget to pick up your rewards in person, if you choose to do so, at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC, on August 1st.
Risks and challenges
There are challenges with any fundraising project, and the number one that we are facing is the delivery of the reward packages. We are having our LP release show at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC, on August 1st and would like to hand out the gift bags there. If this is not possible for some project backers who live farther away, then we will have to ship your goods. We've factored in these extra costs, though, and can assure you that you will get your packages!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
