A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
XUFOY GO, Guitar Plectrum for fast play, rock, jazz, and whatever you like.
For right- and lefthanded suitable.
On www.xufoy.net you can see what we reached so far. We, that is primarily Malte Seidler, a Musician-Enthusiast who studied Architecture and some other people...
We were asked by many Guitarists to produce a Plectrum that is somewhat "small" and "hard" and suitable for heavy rock, jazz, gypsy jazz but also strumming, picking and shredding and have a good grip...
So, after research a while and a quite long process of developing, my (Malte) opinion is, that most of these guitarist desire a Plectrum which is hard but suitable for fast playing, without loosing the sound, not so expensive but not sounds like plastic. And i found out, that the Plectrums from the other manufactures and big companies are not suitable for this. Whats the problem? The main thing: The traditional Plectrum shape is, in a hard Version, not suitable for fast playing, for alternate picking oder shredding. Why? Short version: Because the Shape is a bad design.
The XUFOY GO is not a bad design.
So, the aim was to create a hard Plectrum for fast playing, but also it should be quite cheap and not so expensive as many handmade jazz picks.
The result is a very simple, minimalistic, but smart design:
It is suitable for left and righthanded and will be available in two materials:
natural, which is very hard, smooth and very durable and black which is very very hard and slightly rough, for rock and aggressive sound.
But why is the GO design optimal for fast playing? Is has four tipps, you all can use, but the key is the flat angled but sharp tipp. By just turning the Pick a littlebit the strings will glide under the pick, but the sound will not disapear. This simple trick will change your art of playing with Picks. You are able to play unlimited fast without needing a flexible Pick. And because of this you need not to hold the Plectrum loose to play fast. You can hold it strong and can play fast, this causes of course less grip problems. the logo will give you a littlebit Grip too, of course.
Why do we need money?
The money is needed to produce the plectrum via injection molding in a great amount, so that everyone can buy it for quite less money.
Why did we choose the "GO" design?
So, i have many designs whih i want to produce in the future, but the "GO" design, you see in this campaig, is (my opinion) the most versatile for a great amount of players. It is only one shape nessesary for left and right handed (reduce cost), it is not nessesary to produce different thicknesses (reduce costs) because the hole concept is so, that you can play fast like with a thin plectrum, and the overall shape is quite simple and does not force you to hold it in a special way. I think every player that need a hard Plectrum for fast playing will be able to use the "GO" with good results. Not matter if you want to play Rock, Heavy Metal, Solo, Rhythm, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, or just strumming the acoustic guitar. You will get great results by using this pick. Of course, it will be a littlebit different compared to traditional shapes Plectrums. But i think: It will be better!
The aim of the "GO" design is not a "very special and unusual Plectrum". No, the aim is to create a "very usual Plectrum", a "good Plectrum" which you can always have in your Pocket and you know that you are able to play in all occasions. If you want to own only one Plectrum for all kinds of Music, to borrow it to friends without knowing if they are left or right handed, for play single notes or rhythm, that the "GO" will be your choice.
