WE DID IT!
Thank you - we hit our goal! However, we can still use additional funds because it certainly takes a lot more than our pledge goal to help share KOOBA with the world. While we have the funds now to cover a limited initial run, we now have the daunting, and expensive task, of spreading the word. If you're so inclined to pledge, we would be so very grateful! What is KOOBA?

We're launching KOOBA on Kickstarter! KOOBA is a unique new action / dexterity game unlike anything you’ve ever played!

Using a pair of sticks, players launch a “bird”- a ring with magnetic wings - at a gameboard. With each turn you get three attempts to hit the yellow circle and score marker placements on the board. The first player to score enough markers and reach their corner then attempts to hit the KOOBA center piece to win the game. The “x” motion used to launch your bird and make your shot is easy to learn yet super addictive as you try master accuracy.

Further intensifying the game, players can attack each other to bump their opponent's markers off the board. But attacking is not without risk. To declare attack, you have to wager one of your markers, but if you miss your opponent – you lose it!

At any point in the game, if you make the fabled "KOOBA" shot (ringing the KOOBA) you win the game. Sound easy? Think again!

KOOBA accommodates 2-4 players with rounds lasting 10 to 20 minutes, kind of like a fast dart game.

KOOBA is for ages 12+ and comes with both beginner and expert rules to challenge you as you perfect your game.

One (1) 24" x 24" Gameboard
Three (3) "Birds" - Ring with Magnetic Wings
Twenty Four (24) Magnetic Markers
One (1) Pair - Fiberglass KOOBA Sticks
One (1) KOOBA - Center Bullseye
One (1) Official KOOBA Rule Book with Mutliple Levels of Play

The game is fully self contained. Sticks can be stowed on the board and all pieces magnetically adhere to the game board. All packaging is 100% percent recyclable.

How will KOOBA be made?

We have fully sourced all elements of the product and tested our production prototype (seen in the video). Most of our materials are available locally and or made in the US. We have the space to make KOOBA and have already invested in some tooling in order to ensure we can get up an running quickly after we reach our goal. We anticipate shipping our first Kickstarter supporters within a month of receiving funding.

How will we use the money?

Kickstarter funding will enable us to buy materials in bulk and meet supplier minimums. We also have to make a rather large silk screen, some additional tooling, buy another small press, and build out our studio (nothing fancy, drying racks and such) to support production.
