Windfall is a game that pits Guardians (players) against one another in an epic game of survival. You, as the player, become a Guardian of your choice, and you must do whatever it takes in order to outlast your opponent. To break down the game, in its simplest form: Defeat all Guardians on the opposing side of the field. Easy, right? That depends on the type of player you are. We have developed this game to be easy for beginners, but while still having the capability to be severely competitive for those who enjoy a more strategy based play style.
In the initial release there will be four starter decks designed based on individual types of players such as those who play to win, those who focus on building the best decks, those who want to combine the best cards, and those who simply enjoying just playing. Each starter deck will house 3 different Guardians for standard or starter game play. Standard plays with 3 Guardians, where Starter plays with only one. We will be developing a series of Guardians, Spells, Relics, and Summons to play with in these pre-built decks. Our Game Designer has over twelve years of trading card game and design experience and has designed these cards to not only appeal to the tastes of our many types of players, but to create a unique experience.
Because the Guardians are so prevalent, we encouraged the focus to be on them, and pull back on the other cards. However, all the art is done to showcase the focus as much as possible. Our artist has several years of commission based experience and has worked with artists from both Guild Wars and Halo and smaller games.

These stretch goals could help us produce art books, play mats, a digital version of the game, and more!
Cards are standard playing card size and fit into standard playing card sleeves so there is no reason to purchase new ones.
The game can be played by pitting guardian against guardian. You have three Guardians total, but play them one at a time. Once one Guardian is defeated, a new round starts. The game can be played between 1-4 players and is pseudo-synchronous, which means there are some cards that can be played during an opponent’s turn and some that cannot. Once a player's Guardians are all killed, the game is over.

We would love to tell you more about the game, but that all comes with support. Giving too much away might spoil all the fun! However, we will be posting updates on the games progress so you all can see just how hard we are working to make every dollar donated count!
AND REMEMBER: This game, if fully funded, will be available for sale online! Once funded, we will make the link available for you to go purchase the game in full or for one of the starter decks. Or heck! Buy it all! We will also link you to where you can be any of the promo material or stretch goal items.
We wanted to give everyone a better sneak peak at the cards. Now, these are just are mock-ups. The final versions will come next week with a few minor graphic changes, but overall here you! This is a small sampling of the cards so hopefully we are wetting your mouth!
We have received a message about why the reward decks are random, and that it would be better if players got to choose.
Hey, we agree! So we are making it so that if your reward tier gives you a starter deck, you will now get to choose which starter deck. We will have a list of decks for you in the next few weeks. Each deck comes with 43 cards - 3 of which are Guardians.

Risks and challenges
We working on this game is a team of two. While we have quite a bit of experience, remember that we are dedicating all of our time and energy into making this successful. By holding several play tests, we are reaching out to the community to make sure what we produce is both enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing.
Like with any project, there are always risks. While we do not foresee any during production, after is a whole different story. We need to maintain the support in order to get this game fully published and backed by a publishing house. That can only happen if we can show that we have the support and a have unique product. The more you support us, the more we can give to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
