About this project

Team Prometheus has been working on this project for 3 years now and we are very close to accomplishing a launch of a small satellite into LEO from a balloon platform at 100,000ft. We need your help to complete the mission and get the proper clearance from the FAA-AST and put this satellite into orbit.

The current standing of the project is to launch a two stage rocket 400 miles into space as our next step to get clearance for an orbital flight. We have a booster rocket and a 170,000 cft zero pressure balloon we need for the launch we need to finish the avionics and the construction of the second stage to make this attempt.

If you Google "Team Prometheus" you can see the work we have done over the past years and what we have done. There is plenty of work to be done as we plan this launch to happen in May this year!

We hope to be able to do this to provide a cheaper means of putting small payloads into Low Earth Orbit for educational institutions and scientific research for a new era in space exploration.
