Bruce Campbell needs YOU to help find The Last Fan Standing.
What is Last Fan Standing? Why it's a Trivia Show just for Fans!
Earlier this year, Last Fan Standing hosted by Bruce Campbell filmed 10 episodes at 2 conventions with 4 episodes shot in New Orleans and 6 in Portland in front of a live audience at Wizard World. Everyone in the audience was given a clicker and a chance to compete.
Thousands of well versed, knowledge filled conventioneers competed in a no holds bar trivia tournament. This year, we're doing it all again, but it's going to be bigger, better, and even more Bruce-ier.
We love trivia...and we love fans. Why not go to conventions and shoot a trivia show just about the fans?
It's thanks to fans that so many awesome things exists:
- TV Shows
Well, now it's time for the world to be a fan of you. Flex your trivial knowledge in a game show designed specifically for fans! You've never seen a game show like this before.
Last Fan Standing features contestants on our show who have PROVEN to have the best knowledge in the group. We don't do any of that 'casting' junk, if you're a fan, and you know stuff. You have a chance to compete.
Season 1 of the show was featured on ConTV, and was met with a smashing success on their service. But now we want to let EVERYONE knew about this awesome show, and take it to more locations everywhere. Want a peek? Check it out below.
Check out some of our AMAZING reviews we received from our HUNDREDS of fans.
Ok, so we'll be honest: First Season maybe wasn't the High Production Television Show on a major networking station you were expecting. Well, that's because it wasn't. In fact we shot it using Bubble Gum and Favors. Well here's the deal, we can't do it that way again this season. Plus we also think the show deserves more.
The team originally funded Season 1 (including Bruce) as more of an 'Experiment' to see if a show like this can be done.
The answer was yes, it can be done.
Now we want to make the show better, and more available to YOU. This campaign will help us with the essentials. Better set, high quality video, more flash and incentives to create an amazing fan-centric celebratory show that we can easily take to a convention near you.
As we've said before, this isn't your standard trivia show. We take the show to YOU! Building a set that can travel and hiring a team in each city to film takes a lot of effort to produce. So we've worked tirelessly to build a budget that allow us to make something awesome, take it to multiple cities, and reward fans for their knowledge in an entertaining way.
We made Last Fan Standing not because we are looking for a corporate sellout, but because the show is fun, and hasn't been done before. Bruce puts his time into it, because he loves the fans.
At the end of the day this show is about fans, so we feel it should be made by fans. Kickstarter is our way to take the show to new places with your help, your passion, your FANPOWER!
We have a chance to take Season 1, jack it up with steroids, reinforce it with Adamantium, then slap it in the face to psyche it up. Then put it in places you'd never expect to see Last Fan Standing, maybe even places OUTSIDE the internet.
Our team is a great group of individuals dedicated to seeing Last Fan Standing become a reality, including Veteran Producer and Showrunner Steve Sellery and Executive Producer and the master of cult himself: Bruce Campbell
Steve Sellery - Throughout his career, Steve Sellery has pioneered several highly acclaimed live events and award-winning branded entertainment platforms—engaging audiences around the world.
His thought leadership is credited with creating several iconically-driven productions for live and broadcast audiences, including: Last Fan Standing, Arnold Palmer—Golf’s Heart & Soul, Quest For The Best: The Armed Forces Trivia Challenge, Match Play, The Golf Channel’s Drive, Chip & Putt Jr. Skills Competition, The J. Peterman Invitational, and The Celebrity Bocce Challenge.
“We created ‘Last Fan Standing’ to celebrate the excitement and the fandom of each audience member, while providing them the chance to compete in a live game show,” - Steve Sellery, CEO of Pop Quiz Entertainment and Producer of Last Fan Standing.
This isn't a normal game show. Contestants are picked purely on the their knowledge of comics, movies, TV shows and pop culture. Fans walk through the doors and nobody is screened. We don't do the crap that they do for all those other TV shows.
Everyone gets a clicker and a voting device, and four people get weeded out of that crowd based on their scores. The first season was shot in Portland and New Orleans in earlier in the year.
A great Kickstarter like this one wouldn't be great without some great Rewards. So lets show you all the great things that our greatness has to offer. Sound great to you?
We have some perks so big that Kickstarter can't handle them!
For premium rewards past $10,000 (Bowling Party and Party with Bruce), email us and we'll hook you up!
Dude, that's a lot of perks. Do you have one of those fancy charts breaking down the stuff
We got you covered:
Shouldn't Bruce Campbell be paying for this show with all his fancy actor money?
Do you know who you're talking about? Nobody minus Bill Gates or Donald Trump has just 250,000 lying around. Plus Bruce and Steve already put their money where their mouth is by helping fund the first season. Get off yo high horse son!
Why does it take so much to produce a show like this?
It costs a lot to produce a network quality broadcast show for for a regular trivia show, especially with the start up costs of building a set. After the initial cost, more episodes will get cheaper. But the biggest cost is in the most Important part about our show: the fact that it travels from city to city. That includes making the packaged and portable.
Not only are TV shows expensive, but so are conventions. Honestly you're getting a steal at this price.
Why can't I see the $15,000 and $25,000 perk on the left hand side column?
Kickstarter can only accept a single pledge at 10,000 or lower. We have been approved to advertise our big perks on the page but we'll have to handle it outside of the platform. Email us directly and we'll talk you through the options.
Why are Wizard World Atlanta and New Orleans the first conventions?
Those are the two cons in 2016 that Bruce be will available to attend until late Summer. We don't want to take an entire year to start shooting this show, we want to get you something sooner! If we raise more, we'll start offering conventions in the summer that you can vote on!
How do I get to be on the show?
You audition with everyone else. We'll give you some questions, you give us the right answers. You get more right than everyone else, you get to play. It's that simple.
Are there restrictions on Wizard World Meet and Greet Pass locations?
Yes, the Meet and Greet is currently planned to be hosted in New Orleans.
Where can I use my Bruce Campbell VIP perks?
At any of the locations we will be filming Last Fan Standing, right now the current plan is New Orleans for sure.
What if I can't attend the taping of Last Fan Standing but I purchase the behind the scenes?
Tough luck kid.
Can I buy a contestant spot on the show?
I want Bruce to come to my event/officiate my wedding! Can he come to ______?
Short answer, yes!... as long as it's in the same cities he's attending either early in 2016 or summer of 2016 per his shooting schedule. Bruce Campbell is an ordained minister and would be happy to be a part of your special day!
Where can I watch Last Fan Standing season 1?
Right now you can watch season 1 on www.ConTV.com
Risks and challenges
As with any film production project, there is always unexpected issues that may arise before and during filming. But we have a great production team who has already shot a entire season of this show under their belt.
Bruce has already confirmed the conventions we'll be offering to film at, and we've already reached an agreement with all the individuals who are going to be providing the perks.
As always there could be delays in getting the various items together in order to ship out to backers, but we've provided the team with plenty of time and all the tools necessary to make this happen.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
