Pea Ridge. Fredericksburg. Stones River. Chattanooga. Nashville. All iconic names of American Civil War battles where armies violently clashed and the course of history was altered. In addition to fighting the enemy, soldiers had to battle an even more persistent foe: the cold.
This project is the third Kickstarter to be created to bring 28mm American Civil War soldiers in winter gear to your table top. These figures are designed to be compatible with other popular lines 28mm ACW miniatures. We have worked to make these figures accurate and true to history. The figures have been sculpted to add animation and character to your Civil War armies!
The first phase of this project funded the molding and casting costs of producing 28mm metal figures of Union soldiers marching in great coats.
This second phase funded more Union figures and their Confederate adversaries:
Now, it's time to bring artillery to the table top to support the infantry.
Crews will not be packaged with guns, but you can add-on guns to your order. The following cannon and equipment will be offered:
How does the Kickstarter work? When you pledge, your information will be recorded. Once the KS ends, backers will be given a code to use our our website equal to the value of your pledge:
Backers can select figures from this Kickstarter or mix them with figures from our previous Kickstarter! Simply add $8 to your pledge for every regular infantry pack you want. Vignettes are offered for a special price of one-third off their normal price.
We will assist you anyway we can. Our goal is to ensure you are satisfied with your order.
Getting your figures! Once completed and cast (sometime in Fall 2018), the figures will be shipped out to you. The figures will be sent by the most economical means possible. You will be sent a notice when your figures ship.
Like most Kickstarter projects we have stretch goals:
If we reach our 1st stretch goal, $6,000, we will produce new Confederate and Union figures marching at shoulder arms......
and new advancing Union figures to complement the advancing figures from Kickstarter 2.
Risks and challenges
There is minimal risk attached to this project. The masters shown in the basic levels have been sculpted and the project funds the models and initial castings. We use a reliable wargaming caster based in the United State who casts for several different miniature companies and previously casted our vignettes and other units which you can see on our website.
The primary risk for delay is being further down in the caster's queue.
There is a possibility of delay due to the masters needing correction in order to cast properly. Backers will be kept updated on any changes to the timeline.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
