PAY 2 PLAY — Race to Release!
John Ennis follows political outsiders fighting for a voice in our pay-to-play system where corporate money has overwhelmed politics.
We are in the home stretch of our documentary PAY 2 PLAY, and we need completion funds so that we can share this important film about reclaiming our democracy from corporate money.
Our last Kickstarter campaign allowed us to cover the 2010 elections in Ohio and acquire the light and sound equipment we have been filming with ever since. Since then, we've been on the front lines of the cultural uprising toward democracy and economic justice, and are so grateful to all of you supporting truth to power outside the corporate media! We are editing the film now and close to completing this five-year journey.

This film takes a unique look at the problem of money in politics by following first-time candidates running for office and looking at the hurdles they face in the aftermath of the Citizens United decision, in which the Supreme Court ruled that corporations could spend unlimited amounts of money in elections. The reach of the Pay to Play System is in everything we face today, led by groups such as ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) and the Koch Brothers, making it increasingly hard for citizens to have a voice in our democracy. PAY 2 PLAY shows how Americans are coming together to reclaim our country from the highest bidder.
Our last documentary FREE FOR ALL was released before the 2008 elections to show how elections are stolen, premiering online for free, true to its name, because the story was so important to get out. You can watch it right now and see why Roger Ebert wrote: "The doc is engrossing, even enraging...Ennis has a lot to say," and Film Threat gave it three and a half stars.
FREE FOR ALL! One Dude's Quest to Save Democracy (2008)
Now, people are coming together searching for answers and solutions, and we want to be able to share all we've learned through this odyssey. Please help us cross the finish line and show people how much power we already have -- and how much more we are capable of.
To give you an idea of how PAY 2 PLAY is following up where FREE FOR ALL left off, you can check out this short on the Supreme Court decision Citizens United:
