"The Booth" was conceived one Sunday afternoon while watching a football game a season or two ago. I found it interesting and amusing that the standard broadcasting team these days almost always consists of what I call "The Triumvirate". "A Broadcaster"--a professional sports talking head, "An Ex-Jock"-- a former star player turned color commentator, and "The Hot Chick on the Sidelines"-- a...well, hot chick on the sidelines who is usually tasked with lobbing cliched questions to coaches and players (who invariably answer with cliched answers) or providing the odd human interest story.
I started to wonder what the relationships of these 3 egos might be like off camera and "The Booth" was born. I wrote 7 episodes last year and promised myself I'd shoot at least one by the end of 2011. You can see that episode, "The Booth- Preview" in its entirety on youtube. My goal is to produce at least 2 seasons of "The Booth" and see where we go from there.
The funding will help offset production costs which include modest salaries for the cast and crew, costumes, props, camera, sound and lighting equipment rental, post production effects and packaging and distribution.
I appreciate your support and look forward to proudly producing "The Booth".
