the me-do-dat package
The me-do-dat card measures 3.5 x 2 x 0.25" and is made out of bamboo.
Every card is unique. The texture of the bamboo takes the engraving slightly differently each time. The enclosed log is printed both sides in environmentally responsible inks on 100% recycled paper. The card comes ready to give in a little burlap bag.
where the money will go
Purchasing the bamboo; cutting and engraving the cards; printing the travel log and tags; purchasing the burlap bags and paper tags; purchasing packing materials for shipping. Shipping costs.
Me-do-dats will only get made when this project is fully funded, so please help me help you help others (that's right!) by funding this project!
who is Jeannet Leendertse?
I am a Dutch graphic designer, who has been living in the US for the past 22 years. I usually design books for publishers and individuals on the East Coast. I have won many awards with my designs and my work has appeared in PRINT and can be found in the AIGA archives. You can find my work at http://www.jeannetleendertsedesign.com/ I have two great boys and a super husband who all have been very supportive of this project. For more info see my bio to the right.
When I’m not designing, I read, and I have to say I truly miss the old tag that used to be stamped on the first page of our library books. I love the idea that a book has been read before me and always wonder who those readers are. Then, for my last birthday, my good friend Rayna gave me a token to put in my purse. It came with a card that said "good for a lunch at the Blue Moon", our small town's favorite hangout. It was a perfect gift. I feel at times that our need to truly connect in this digital age gets neglected. The me-do-dat project combines all these sentiments in the form of a reusable traveling gift card.
thank you for your time and support!
* Please keep it nice, or your text or picture will consist of typographical beeps (&^%$!). : )
