Gunfights & Gamblin' : A Team-Based Old West Game
A team-based old west game with a tense hidden player mechanic, plus lots of shootin' and gamblin'!
Gunfights & Gamblin' captures the spirit of the American "old west" in larger-than-life fashion. It pits 2 to 4 players in an epic team battle over a pioneer town. The question is: are you feeling like a pioneer, or a renegade? Do you want to build the town, or burn it down?
Players are immediately pulled into the experience from the moment they pick one of the 4 unique characters to play. Strategy and luck take equal roles as you out-shoot, out-gamble and outsmart the other team to victory!
1. Pick a pioneer to play...
...or pick a renegade!
2. As a pioneer, get ready for the upcoming raid!
Buy guns, ammunition, whiskey, and other items, all with unique reasons to purchase in anticipation of the upcoming raid. Mayor doesn't have enough cash to get everything he needs? Gamble to try to win more!
But what if your first roll on the gamble was a dud? That's alright...it's beer to the rescue!
3. As a renegade, steal and buy goodies, then pick a building or 2 to burn down for points. But keep your guns drawn, because you never know when you're going to find a pioneer defending those targets!
4. Repeat the steps above for 5 more rounds, dropping a "round" into the revolver chamber to keep track of in-game scoring.
5. Check final scoring at the end of round 6 to see which team wins! (Each building the pioneers have standing are worth 2 points apiece).

What about Shipping?
We keep things simple (and as cheap as we can) here in the old west! Here's what you'll pay in shipping, based on country:
Anywhere Else: $20
Stretch Goal #1: The Buckshot Dice Roller!
Unlocked at $10,000, this little beauty adds a fun twist to the gambling mini game and doubles as a great dice roller in gunfights!
Stretch Goal #2: First Expansion Pack!
Unlocked at $12,000, this expansion adds 6 new cards: 2 buildings and 4 character traits.
The 2 buildings are swap-out with the Bank and Church, meaning there are now 6 ways to set up the town instead of just 1!
The Stockade: Deals 1 hit to each of the Renegades on the way in to town. Sound strong? It is! But remember...the expansion buildings are swap-out, meaning you have chosen to forgo the vital advantage of whatever building the Stockade has taken the place of!
The Town Statue: An indestructible 2 point building. It offers no other perks or advantages, but having guaranteed points for the end of the game that don't have to be watched over means peace of mind!
The character traits are brand-new character abilities. You get 1 for the game, and they can either be dealt at random or chosen in advance. They are:
Lightweight: Beer, tobacco and whiskey are twice as effective for you!
Lucky: You get to re-roll 1 time each turn for anything you choose!
Dead-eye: You get 1 guaranteed hit each gun battle!
Armadillo: You have 4 hearts for the game, not 3!
Risks and challenges
Like any project revolving around mass manufacturing, there can always be unexpected delays. However, I will be working with highly reputable US-based logistics company Quartermaster Logistics to make the delivery process as smooth as possible. In addition, my chosen manufacture is Brilliant Games / Meijia, who have brought you such hits as Forbidden Island, Smash Up, and Sushi Go among others. Finally, as an Indie Game Alliance member, I am working with a support team that has successfully brought 699 Kickstarters to life! I'm in good hands, which means you're in good hands.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
