About

This project is currently in post production. We are seeking finishing funds in order to complete the editing, animation, and special FX process.

Spectrum Hunter is a 30 minute Art/Adventure film about memory, fantasy, magic, and materialist culture. These elements combine to create a totally unique world filled with unlikely symbols and links to the collective unconscious. Memory is explored as comforting/familiar as well as flawed/fractured/distorted. The movie seeks to purposefully entangle our real memories with our virtual ones (tv, art, etc.). Out of that entanglement, a system of logic emerges where magic is possible and people can encounter familiar items and ideas in new ways. Characters in Spectrum Hunter are able to interact with art physically. For instance, in Spectrum Hunter characters don't play video games, they go inside them. They don't watch cartoons, they star in them.

Who we are:
Making Spectrum Hunter has been Jon Clark's dream since he was a kid. It took 2+ years, and every penny of his life savings to produce it. Jon's closest friends (a talented group of emerging artists) made up the cast and crew for the film. None of them were paid. In fact, they spent their own money in order to travel to Los Angeles so they could donate their time and talent to the film. This movie was made for the love of raw creativity by people who have no desire to be part of the mainstream or conform to its standards. We do not seek profits or awards. We only seek to share our art with a receptive audience and inspire them to do the same. By donating money to this project, you are allowing us to continue taking risks and staying true to our dreams.

Synopsis:
TC's older brother is missing. Rotten Robbie, a wanna-be sorcerer (and TC's best friend), uncovers a series of clues that lead he and TC into the maze of the Spectrum Hunters: a bizarre magic cult. Their magic is derived from POGs (a re-envisioned toy from my childhood). This reality is what allows all of the fantastic elements within Spectrum Hunter to occur. Will TC ever find his brother? Watch as he and Robbie encounter traps, puzzles, and magic of every kind along the way.
