)The 2.2 issue of Gigantic Sequins, scheduled to be released late spring/early summer of 2011, is in the design process right now. We need to raise money in order to have the excellent quality of the print-only final product match that of our past issues.
We publish both established and new writers and artists. 2.2 features cover art by England-based Jennifer Maidment and art on the inside by Philadelphia artist, Josean Rivera and New York artist, Joshua Gabriel.
Gigantic Sequins 2.2 will have poetry by Adam Atkinson, Joseph Calavenna, James Caroline, Jim Daniels, Rich Ives, Natasha Kessler, Leigh Phillips, Matthew Siegel, Helen Vitoria, James Wagner and Matthew Whitley.
2.2 will also feature fiction by Craig Bernier, Michelle Cheever, Len Kuntz, LaTanya McQueen and Yelena Valer'evna Moskovich.
In addition to publishing these great writers and artists, 2.2 has a review of Mike Young's excellent book of short stories, Look! Look! Feathers.
Gigantic Sequins has a staff for its 2.2 issue from all over: our poetry editor, Sophie Klahr, lives in Houston, TX and our fiction editor, Zach Yontz, in Chicago, IL. Our designer, Shereen Adel, is stationed in Suffolk, England and our editor in chief, Kimberly Ann Southwick, in Philadelphia, PA. We work from afar for one goal: to bring together the best writing and art in our literary arts journal.
We need around $1,000 to publish each issue. We also have a raffle planned for the future to raise more funds. We need this $500 at least to solidify our commitment to publish 2.2 on time.
It is important to us to deliver a print journal to our subscribers, contributors and friends. The digital age has us glued to our computers for information as well as entertainment, and it is important to us to have a final product that exists as a lovely, unique, physical object.

(Please note that donors outside of the U.S.A will have to add a small $5.00 fee to their donation in order to cover any extra shipping costs that may accrue in the sending of your backer rewards.)
