Not at all! Cubit Controllers run Lua, an open source scripting language. The visual programming interface in Cubit Workshop is meant to help you create logic quickly without coding, but you can still write Lua code directly if you prefer.
If you’ve got your own electronic component, you can still use it with Cubit Controller. Use a custom smart connector (basically a cable that plugs into the Cubit Controller on one end and has bare wires on the other).
We mean you don't have to write lines of code in a text editor (but you can if you want to). Instead, you program the controller using our visual programming interface (Workshop). It's kind of like making a flow chart.
