A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.

Most of us experienced the following situation:
You're spending an evening with your friends and suddenly you realize your phone is running low on battery.
Nowadays we rely on our phones more than ever. We use it for bank transactions, appointments, making reservations, texting, taking photographs and more.
Hence, it’s a major inconvenience if your phone dies.
There are ways to prevent this situation: The most known solution are powerbanks. But let’s be real…. you’ll probably just end up forgetting to charge it or even forget it at home.
Of course you could charge your phone at home before going out in the first place. But sometimes there is no time left for that or you simply overestimated your battery percentage.
We developed a simple solution for this problem. From now on you just need to take our Cable with you anywhere you go. It definitely weighs less than a powerbank and fits nicely into your pocket. With this cable you can charge your phone with almost every electronic device.
Simply connect your phone with another one and it begins to charge.
3 in 1
The Battery Share Cable unites three important functions into just one cable.
Data Transfer between your phone and computers and phones that support the OTG function
Charging with the USB plug through a power adapter in a socket.
Charging from other electronic devices which have a micro USB plug or the new USB C.
Why do you need this?
We really think this was the way of charging that was missing. Until now.
And the best part:
You don't have to add another item to your clutter collection. You’ll be replacing your previous charging cable with our Battery Share Cable not only because it’s capable of getting the old job done but also it adds the feature of battery sharing!

The Social Part:
There is even a social use of our cable. You can ask anyone to provide you with battery.
You don’t know how to start a conversation with the cute girl you see everyday on your way to work? Ask her for some battery!
You’ll see, our battery share cable is a great conversation starter.
We are two tech freaks from Switzerland. The whole idea came up as we were sitting in our favourite bar on a casual friday night. We talked about how cool it would be, if you could charge your phone with another one.
We were really captivated by this idea, and after some months of researching and experimenting we actually ended up with a very ugly, but working prototype.
With this new cable from Volt Electronics you can not only charge your phone traditionally with a socket or a power bank like you're used to, but you can charge your device with another device. Moreover, not only your phone can be charged with our cables, but also other electronic devices like music speakers or head phones can also be charged or provide battery with our cable. And it is even possible to synchronise your phone with your computer or exchange data between two connected phones.
If you got any questions regarding the rewards, or if you want to order 2 short and 3 long cables and not only 5 long cables for example, don't hesitate to write us an email and we will try to fulfil your wishes.
The Battery Share Cable. More than just a cable!
Big thank you to everyone who supports this project.
There are a few points that need to be addressed here:
1. Apple Incompatibility
Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Apple products. We even contacted Apple to make sure there is really no way to make it possible. But sadly, they rejected our proposal.
2. Charging Speed
A phone battery is obviously not designed to charge other devices. As a result, you can’t compare it to a power outlet or a powerbank in terms of charging speed. But of course it still charges fast enough to make a noticeable difference. It's sometimes just a bit slower (depending on the phone you're using)
