A0.75 Update

We’re coming up pretty quickly to the end of the month, so we’re trying to get as much in as possible before the Steam build. We’re working on several notable areas for the build, they include: the farm building for the settlement, Steam integration for the launcher (across all 3 platforms), more Creation Editor features, voxel water (maybe flowing) and new water shader, better building controls and shaders, tweaking player controls, starting first person control design (what a lot of you want), ai optimization, more enemies and bosses (especially for multiplayer), rainforest biome, and story extension. We want to get the build out before February ends, so we will cut whatever’s not done when the time comes. So far, it looks like everything’s safe.

Here I’ll show you a couple of things, first, the water shader. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s starting to look pretty good:

Next, a couple of examples of the new free-form custom items and decals created in the Creations Editor:

Looking forward to the Steam release; I can't use torrents and there's been a consistent lack of direct download links, so I've been watching these updates from the outside. Once it goes on Steam, though, it'll be a lot simpler to join in the testing. SO MUCH AMAZING STUFF in this game already - I can't wait :)

Awesome, SO excited for the Steam version. I've avoided the last few releases simply due to the hassle of having to update everything every time, so this will be really cool. Great work guys.

      Looking forward to Steam.

I didn't do too much with the earlier releases but with Steam managing updates it'll make it all the more simpler to keep updated. Not to mention it'll be a load off your servers to have it downloaded somewhere else.

I've been waiting for the game to arrive on Steam. Thanks for the update so I know to get ready to install the game again. Steam manages the install and maintaining updates so I won't have to worry if I've got the latest build as you guys progress. Keep up the great work on the game build as well. Everything is coming together nicely!

Yeah I'm with Jonathan in that I'm looking forward to the Steam release. I'm more likely to play it when it's in my Steam Library. :)

I'm really looking forward to the Steam release because I can't figure out how to 'unlock' later versions even tho I'm a backer :/ Oh well. The longer I wait the better it'll get...
