Species Report #3
We're now at 62% there with 13 days and 23 hours to go! We're getting there but we need more people to know about it still. On Steam Greenlight, we've moved up to #33, still moving at a very fast clip. If we can get approved in this group of Greenlight games on the 17th, we'll have a very easy time getting to our goal on here, I think.
Regarding the Mac version, I mentioned before we might get a version out this week. Well, I'll take that back. We actually have a pretty stable Mac version running in the office right now, it's working! But, some stuff are broken, since we took about the game in between builds to add things and change things. The NPCs are utterly broken right now, so's parts of the ui system...so to be safe, we're not going to release a Mac version for now, sorry.
Today, I'll show you a couple more animals coming up in future builds. The first is Caelum Rex, it is a huge bird of prey that roams above the mountain biomes. It flies at a very high altitude and likes to attack targets from above. It is a grave threat to airplanes. It has very thick skin and armor plates, making it hard to kill. Missiles and particle cannons are the suggested method of taking out this beast. Beware that most of the time they fly in pairs.
The other species is the Stonecrusher. The Stonecrushers are passive animals that live between the forest areas and the mountains, it uses the bony extrusion on its underside to piece the ground to get at insects hidden within. The extrusion can also be used as a weapon against threats. When faced with a predator, the animal will extend to its full height in a bid to scare off . Even though this is mostly a solitary animal, sometimes they do socialize in groups.
