First I want you to know how much I appreciate your support and I don't take it lightly. I've been a songwriter for 50 years and in the early 1970's put together a group called The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. I haven't worked with them regularly for awhile, but I continue to write and perform as a soloist. I need your help and partnership in raising a minimum of $8,500.00 to record, manufacture and promote a new CD. I'm going full-circle, back to the power and style of the first music I learned to play. What makes this different from anything else out there is my experience and the inspiration of the age old hills and valleys that are my home ground. Risks and challenges
Other than not meeting our funding goal, there are basically none. First off, I'll record 24 reference versions of original songs with arrangements of some traditional folk songs included. Then with input and feedback, narrow that down to 12 for the final product. I know how to use the studio. The facility I'm using is called Studio 2100 in Springfield, Mo. Its owner, Jeff Smith, has recorded hundreds of projects in the last decade. He is high tech and operates quickly and efficiently. Literally and artistically my life has led to this moment. In this neighborhood, studio time is about $50.00 an hour and about $50.00 an hour for each extra musician, so it adds up quickly. If we exceed our goal, it will enable us to take it up a couple more notches, possibly going to Nashville to mix down the tracks. We can do this and it will definitely be completed in 90 days.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
