Universal Fact: Everyone Dies.
Universal Truth: Some die in a monumental, epic, joy-filled explosion of awesomeness.
I'll admit, I think about death a lot, and I'm an expert by now at losing loved ones. I know, it's a hard, scary thing to talk about, but I figure the more we can talk (and laugh) about funerals, the less they freak us out. So, since 2008, I've been writing a show that is mostly a one-person show, but not really. It's more of a party full of storytelling, singing, dancing, drinking, and magic!!!
The New Zealand Fringe Festival (http://www.fringe.co.nz/theatre/the-most-fun-funeral) is the premier stop on my world tour: I want to share the party at the Los Angeles Fringe Fest and the New York Fringe Fest and beyond. Your support will not only help bring this killer party to as many people as possible, but will also benefit Skylight, an organization that provides grief support to kids and families in New Zealand. http://skylight.org.nz/
Skylight's tagline is "Because grief happens and support matters". By creating a show that offers people a space to think about dark, awkward, depressing things in a glee-filled, all-inclusive, hour-long extravaganza of joy, I hope I can give a little support to others, like some amazing trampoline!!!!
