Hand chosen by the Fates, thirteen-year-old Charis now holds the fate of the world in her hands as she begins her mythic journey to Pandora’s Jar in a race against destiny.
I've written this great middle grade novel soon to be published by Booktrope Publishing and it only cost me blood, sweat, and tears. My brother Vincent has provided the illustration and it only cost him sleep, a couple of fingernails, and a few hands full of his already thinning hair. The book trailer, however, will cost at least $1500 ... and still, we'd love to make it.
Book trailers are a way to introduce readers to a book. And because this book is geared toward a younger audience, the more visual, the better. Vincent and I can see it in our minds already ... him drawing at a frenetic pace, the audio crescendoing in the background, and thousands of young readers compelled to read more! It's an authors (and in the case a mother's) dream!
Any help you can give toward giving this special book the broader platform it deserves is appreciated. And, who knows? With your contribution, the Fates—those strange sisters— might even smile upon you!
Look for Charis: Journey to Pandora's Jar out this summer through Booktrope Publishing.
Risks and challenges
If we are unable to raise funding, we don't make a book trailer. Kids might not know about his amazing book! Teachers might be unaware of the fact that not only does this book exist, but the curriculum that meets common core standards does too! What kind of sense would that make? NONE!
Having no trailer for Charis: Journey to Pandora's Jar would be a bummer ... because there would be less cool in the world. Don't let it happen people.
I've written the book and Vincent has illustrated his heart out ... we owe it to ourselves and readers everywhere to make this book trailer. It has to happen. It's what Pandora would have us do to right her grave wrong.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
