About this project
Ain't no Heroes in this game, you play Blackroot Orcs delving the dungeon for loot and teef, that's right you are smashing the faces of your enemies for teef.
Solo Survive the dungeon and its random boss encounter for victory, there is no resurrection in this mode.
Adventure (Co-Op) Play co-operatively with your friends to complete quests, bury the head, defeat the cave serpent and destroy the spider’s lair. Can your Orc's work together long enough to complete them all?
Treachery (VS) You each control the dungeon and monsters that you pull on your turn, pitting them against your friends, setting off traps, looting your opponents whilst you try to keep the dungeon at bay. Each hero kill will gain you promotions, become the war chief to win.
You get to pick from one of the 4 castes:
Berserker - Unleash powerful attacks charge at your enemies, frenzy and attack multiple foes.
Shaman - Using your tribal magic transform into a raven or a bear, summon spirits and blood wield your enemies.
Cultist - Inflict fear, life drain your enemies and even summon the undead to fight for you.
Head Hunter - Use poison and flaming arrows to destroy your enemies and even take headshots.
Each hero has a set of weapons and ability cards that require energy to use, you gain energy by rolling the attack and defence dice, once you have enough energy you can unleash these devastating attacks on your enemies and that energy you used turns into experience, gain enough experience and you can level up your abilities.
The dungeon is presented in a deck of cards, cards are drawn each turn for you to explore the dungeon, they include hallways or room cards, for you to construct your dungeon randomly every time. You will encounter traps as you traverse through the dungeon it's not a safe place to be, as you and your friends will discover.
If you die your loot either sits by the trap that killed you or runs around the dungeon with the monster that killed you until slain, anyone can claim your loot.
If you have enough resurrection tokens, you may resurrect on any of the resurrection points in the dungeon, these are limited so take care. If at any time a player dies and cannot resurrect you will fail your quest.
Monsters are a plenty, and they are all heading for you, each monster has a critical success ability, you can also aggro monsters and they will take attacks of opportunity. Slaying monsters gains you teef, which you can spend on trinkets and traps with the sneaky goblin and remember Teef = Money
You encounter bosses in quests or randomly after a set time in the solo mode, each boss has its own unique ability cards they will use to decimate you and your friends so beware.
The game comes with 8 adventures for co-op mode, from placing the head of Zurbag to saving the sneaky goblin from a deal gone south. But only you can help decide if there are going to be even more adventures that need to be taken. More adventures are available through stretch goals for the Goblin Trinket and Pledge Hammer reward tiers.

You can help vote on 1 boss and 1 monster card which I will complete with the help of my backers, during the campaign.
The deluxe limited edition wooden chest (35x25x25cm) comes with a foam cored interior designed and built by the game creator. It is able to handle sleeved cards and has trays that are laid out to make setup quick and that can be removed and used during play to organize your game. It includes a hand painted emblem of one of the Orc castes or your choice and an original artist sketch.
These are the estimated shipping costs. Rest assured we will try to lower them as much as possible, throughout the Kickstarter.
I wanted to draw dragons… I have been freelance illustrating for about the past 3 years, working for Modiphius (Winning Silver Ennie Award for the Cover of Terrors of the Secret War), Pelgrane Press, Rain Studios (War of Kings / and Terra Tiles Misty Moorlands and Coasts and Rivers). These were great to work for but none of them offered that high fantasy theme I relished. Dungeon crawlers hold a special place for me since firing up Dungeon Master on the Atari ST and playing Heroquest, so I took to creating my own game. I tried to make it a game I would have chewed my right arm off to be involved in, and I have loved working on it. Fast forward 2 years, I have designed a game, created all the illustrations, graphic design, and swore a lot at Indesign as I crafted the rulebook and its layout. I can still draw dragons. I am just hoping to continue doing it for my own company Beardy Brothers.
Dragons sold separately…
During the long winter evenings, I would take time to craft Beer Labels out of some of my card art, these will be available through the stretch goals as beer mats.
Here is an interview I did with Crazy Eights on Gaming Trend about Ravage
I am delighted to have Modiphius Entertainment onboard co-publishing Ravage and helping advise on my Kickstarter and arranging distribution of games during and after the Kickstarter.
I see Ravage as an expandable game with new expansions, including new locations, encounters, new mechanics and manybe hero packs maybe Gnolls and Kobalds all depending on the success of this first Kickstarter I would love to delve more into the Ravage world and you can help shape the way the world unfolds.
Risks and challenges
The production is being handled by Whatz Games would also produce Welcome to the Dungeon, King of Toyko and Heroes of Normandie.
All the art has been created with the exception of the Stretch Goal additions and additional quests. The fulfilment of this campaign will be helped along with the assistance of Modiphius Entertainment.
However, should setbacks occur, I promise to communicate them as quickly as possible. If at any time you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
