HELP! We want to do our first musical and need you! Take a look at our sneak preview. The Spotlight Still Got It Players is an over 50 acting troupe. Pretty amazing for a group who has never done a musical before. Who knew strings of pearls, raccoon coats, and an airplane ( yes I said airplane) could be so expensive! We are determined to move forward with this project no matter what, but it would be a lot easier if we could count on your support. Help this troupe of senior actors sing and dance like it was 1920 all over again. Your support will be used to purchase costumes and help with the funding to build our scenery (an airplane that will actually move).
Our show opens May 23, 2012 for 5 performances at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton, MI
Nothing can keep these seniors down! Hope you can and will help!
Weds. May 23 - 1pm, Thurs. May 24 - 1pm, Fri. May 24 - 7pm. Sat. May 25 2pm & 7pm
We have involved over 30 seniors in our productions. Our audiences range from 80 - 200 per performance. We are a creative outlet for senors to perform or to attend theater. productions.
When we started our acting troupe we had 10 actors involved in our first production. Today we have 27 people involved in Flapper. More and more senior actors are learning about us. That is why this musical is so important! It will introduce us to a whole new audience and hopefully many more seniors will join our group.
