Test shots and Vehicle Update

So, as some of you might have noticed, we were showing off the GCPS Mule at our recent Open Day. We’ve since received test shots for the outstanding vehicles, so we've put these under the studio camera so that you guys can get a better look!

These are Test Shots we’ve had back from the manufacturers and although there are amendments to be made (as always) we think you’ll agree that the details have come out really well! These will look a bit odd, as the plastic may vary in colour and there may be errors on this first run. Worry not, for we've already gone back with corrections.

Shown above is the GCPS Mule (with a Drakkar for scale). We have also received components for the Plague variety, but only enough to build one to show off. These two kits share some components, but are mostly made from completely different parts.

Next up we have the GCPS Hornet. This is a large kit - large enough to feasibly carry the troop compartment, or a Mule. The turbines can be left unglued to rotate and both side doors open too!

And of course, here it is next to a Drakkar for scale. Like the Mule, we've also had test components for the Plague variant, too.

Last, but not least there is the beast that is the Asterian Chroma (which can also be built as a Chira). This is the largest kit we've ever made, especially in hard plastic. It dwarfs the Drakkar (pun intended) and everything else!

The Chroma mounts larger versions of the weapons of the other Asterian platforms, as you can see here. The gun will slot in place without glue, able to freely rotate without falling off.

As the manufacturers make amendments to the tools, we're entering into the last leg of the process before mass production. Once we're satisfied with the finished models, we'll push the button and have production dates (and therefore shipping dates) for your vehicles. We are sorry for the delay, but the wait is almost over!

Still nothing? And yet Mantic is already hyping their Hellboy Kickstarter.

Mantic a new update is really needed. Preorders are up at certain stores, Adepticon attendees getting Hornets before backer, things are not well. TBH damage control is needed.

@Mantic How come Game Stores are advertising the Mule and other vehicles we are still waiting for - the last update was January 4th I think? https://www.waylandgames.co.uk/mantic-entertainment/51669-gcps-mega-force…
      Thanks

I've been waiting so long I've nearly forgotten what this game was about, what I ordered, what I've received and what I'm still waiting for.

@James - lots of us have been waiting for that update, but all they've said is that its 'yet to be decided'. The problem is I've been told one thing via email, and the exact opposite is suggested in this update.

@Eric, the hornet has been known for a while - its one kit that allows you to build either the GCPS hornet, or the Plague Hornet. Its from one of the earliest hornet updates.

@Matthew - I'm wondering the same thing, for the Hornet as well. The Mule was initially resin with additional bits included for the plague version and the Hornet states on the front page that either Plague or GCPS can be made from the kit.

      Those look awesome...
I am super impressed. The Chroma is far more impressive then I had thought it would. These are just so so good. I cant wait to get all of mine.

      @Matthew
If I had to guess... Id guess things like the chasis and wheels are universal between the two types. Also, I don't think it matters. I could have sworn there was an update or post stating you wouldn't be able to build both from the same kit... it would be one or the other.

      Cool.

Alas, I couldn't pick up anything from this project, but at some point I would like to get my hands on a Asterian Chroma so I can paint it up.

Looking good, but I have a question regarding the mules, and this sentence "These two kits share some components, but are mostly made from completely different parts." - does this mean you can't build a gcps mule from the plague mule kit?

Previously this has been mentioned in the comments lots with pretty much everyone assuming this would be possible, despite none of the mantic wording stating it. However a few weeks ago I changed my address, and explicitly asked this question and was told you could build both from the plaigue kit.... So what's the actual answer?
