Frequently Asked Questions
DreadBall – The Futuristic Sports Game 2nd Edition is still in development and it is likely that some rules and details will change during the course of development. This is because we value the feedback from the community and try to incorporate the best comments, whilst spending the development time to improve on the graphic design and miniatures range.
For example, you will have opportunity to playtest the rules after the campaign and your feedback may have a knock-on effect on the number of cards or the different counters that are included. Your feedback genuinely affects the game and aids development.
We will not change anything for the sake of it though: we will only change things if it’s the right thing for the product and the best thing for the game.Last updated:
Within a few weeks of the Kickstarter closing we will send you an invitation via email to the pledge manager.
On the pledge manager you will fill out your address and contact details, what pledge level you wanted and what add-ons you wanted. You can even choose more items than you initially pledged for on the Kickstarter and pay the difference on the pledge managerLast updated:
Yes. You must fill out the pledge manager before the deadline.
If you do not fill out the pledge manager you will not get your pledge level until after the initial shipment has finished being dispatched and we cannot guarantee that you will get the Kickstarter Exclusive items or add-ons.
Please fill out the pledge manager before the deadline. You will receive a confirmation email when you successfully check out from the pledge manager, and can check your order by clicking ‘My Orders’ on the pledge manager.
If you do not receive a confirmation email and/or there are no orders on your account then you have not successfully completed the pledge manager. If you do not fill in your pledge manager, then we will not be able to send your pledge until we hear from you. Make sure you contact us if you’re not sure. It’s better to be safe than sorry. We want to make sure we get your order.Last updated:
If you pledge on this Kickstarter, payment will be taken at midnight GMT Sunday 5th August. If payment is unsuccessful you will have 7 days to fix it before Kickstarter cancel your pledge.
Because payment is not taken until the campaign closes, you may change your pledge amount as many times as you like during the campaign. Just click ‘Manage my pledge’ and you can make alterations.Last updated:
Whilst the pledge manager is open, you can add to your order as many times as you like. There will be an option to add to your previous order to ensure you aren’t overcharged on shipping. Be aware that once the pledge manager is closed, you won’t be able to add to your order, so make sure you order everything you want before the deadline.Last updated:
When will my pledge ship? Where will my package be shipped from? What shipping method will be used? What value will be declared on the package?
We estimate that shipping will begin in July 2017 and will be sent from the UK using local post, such as Royal Mail.
The customs form on your package will represent our costs for providing the pledge. The cost of shipping will not be included in the value marked on the customs form. The package will also be marked as a gift.
Will I be charged extra duties and tax for my package?
Customs will often charge duties and tax for imported goods, based on the value declared on the box. Please check with your local customs office for any charges that may apply to your shipment as you will be responsible for paying the fees. Be aware that if you refuse the fees, we then have to pay them when it is returned to us If you then want your package to be sent out to you again, you will have to still pay the fess, along with an extra cost for shipping, and you may even have to pay more duties and taxes on the second delivery attempt.Last updated:
DreadBall – The Futuristic Sports Game is only available in English during the Kickstarter.Last updated:
What size are the miniatures? What material are the miniatures made from? Do the miniatures come painted?
Like the rest of our DreadBall range, the miniatures are 30mm scale.
The miniatures are single-piece and no assembly is required. They are made from a highly detailed, durable plastic. The material is a type of PVC commonly used in our games such as The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game, Deadzone, as well as games by other manufacturers such as Wrath of Kings and more.
This plastic allows us to have a high level of detail whilst keeping the dynamic poses required for such a fast-paced game, and of course making them very affordable as you would expect from Mantic.
Note that this material is not the harder PVC commonly known as “restic”, and is not sprued “hard plastic” (polystyrene).
Your miniatures do not come painted – the miniatures shown in the photography are for promotional purposes only. Miniatures are supplied in grey plasticLast updated:
We don't want to release figures through Kickstarter that will then penalize customers who miss out on the campaign. However, we do want to keep our Kickstarter exclusives a little bit special. Therefore, although our Kickstarter exclusives will never be sold at retail, they may be available later via the Mantic Points Scheme on our website, or offered as promotional figures at conventions or other eventsLast updated:
Blaine, the inter-dimensional traveller renowned for appearing in Mantic Kickstarter campaigns, will not be making an appearance in this Kickstarter.Last updated:
Simply message us through Kickstarter using the link at the top of the page and we'll put you in touch with our trade team who can run through what's available and how to pledge!Last updated:
You can select as many as you like - just increase your pledge as appropriate. For example, if you're at the Striker reward ($100) and want a second one, just pledge a total of $200 - you can tell us that this is what you want at the end through the campaign manager.
If you're at an Early Bird level, then any additional reward levels of the same type will be at the same cost, so if your first one is costing you $90, then the second one will cost the same price!
Shipping is to be paid for each reward level, as each one needs to be sent as a separate package due to shipping restrictions. For example, if you want two copies of the Striker reward, you would have to pay the shipping twice.Last updated:

If you wish to cancel your pledge and require a refund we are happy to do so at any point. Simply get in touch.
We can refund your entire pledge amount within 14 days (fees included) of the end of the campaign. If you request a refund after the 14 days then we will refund 90% of your pledge amount – this is less the Kickstarter and payment provider fees.
We will be unable to cancel and refund your pledge once we begin packing your pledge for shipment.Last updated:

If you cannot back the campaign whilst it is live, or missed the deadline, you will be able to get DreadBall - The Futuristic Sports Game and the retail range from all good hobby stores and our website in late 2017.Last updated:
Although we strive to get you your rewards in a timely manner, we cannot guarantee that you will receive all of your rewards before some of the product makes it into retail in your own country or before it's made available at conventions. In the event that you do get your rewards after they arrive in stores, we hope that the special price and Kickstarter exclusive items you receive will offset the short delay.Last updated:
