      If I had to guess at what these are, Id say:
      1. Z'zor merc
      2. Mantic version of a Hanaar from ME (I cheated. I've seen the concept art). Probably a medic role.
      3. Some kind of robot.

      1 flying reb
      2 plague tentacle spawn thingy
      3 bionic enforcer/droid enforcer/orx pyro

      Muhahahahaha
      Bombs away!

      Any chance of getting extra of the 3x3 inch square scenery in a sprue? I also play table top games that use 1 inch squares and these will allow me to use deadzone scenery in those games. I'd definitely pledge extra for a sprue containing 6 of the 3x3s so I have enough to use for the floor in all the 3d buildings I put together.

      I really like the idea of a mobile energy shield for the enforcers. They don't have quite as much verity as the other factions. Or maybe a large melee based armor who looks comparable to the Maurader suites and the Teratons. While i do see the assault marines as melee, they don't look any where comparable to those monstrous warriors.

      Cool - looks like a flier [zzorr style?], a NON-bipedal race, AND robots - everything I could want. Okay...most things...yup, I'm greedy!

      @Mantic, remember guys, when you make those robots we've already got a dreadball team. So, you've totally got the 'clone army' thing covered already. Now you need 100% unique bounty hunter type dudes. Meatbags.

      Tiles look good but it seems like you need more clips and one more railing on a sprue.

      Some bug looking thing
      Maybe a merc type with a flamer

    11. Craig Johnson on

      Winged plague.
      Nameless, for the Rebs.
      Goblin grenadier.

      Pretty cool all the way around if that's right. More excited about the first two.

      1st.: Teraton Plague (think thats his Horn) / or a flying alien
      2nd.: Nameless one it has to be
      3rd.: tough one a Enforcer with a Greandelauncher or a Flamer?

      I will agree on that and gameplay has its own needs of course, but, when you say buildings the customer has its own perception of what this means, I will agree the strike and recon will not finish with the current buildup, but maybe its a good idea after you finalize the sprew to make bundled add ons for specific layout buildings like 2x2 box, 3x1 L shaped ectr.

      on the forces it would not be bad to know the compositions it helped tremendously early in Dreadball that we knew how many we needed from each type, I know its early Alpha, but some rough guidelines must exist.

      1) Plagued Teraton, which has a nice "Gargoyle" vibe.
      2) Jellyfish-styled "floater" means Reb. Probably our medic instead of the Judwan, aw.
      3) That's a Goblin grenadier, without a doubt. KABOOM!

      My guesses...

      1) Avian based faction, although it does look more reptilian (aka, Dragonmen or Pterodactyl).

      Going with the popular votes on the last two...

      2) Nameless (although it does look like the hair of a Predator alien too)
      3) Goblin Grenadier (Hands, bent knees and patchwork pants gives it away)

      And yah for terrain!

    19. Joseph M on

      1= Plagued teraton
      2= Jellyfish alien
      3= Goblin grenadier

      Maybe

      The flying jellyfish in Mass Effect were the worst.....hopefully they are not copied

    22. Barzam on

      Flying alien? Nice. I'm hoping the second one is actually not a Nameless, but rather some sort of flying jellyfish or squid. That would be pretty damn cool and it isn't something you see too much of in miniature games. Third is definitely no Enforcer since they don't have cloth pants. I'd guess Reb or Marauder. Hoping for Reb.

    23. Mantic Games 17-time creator on

      @ PsychoticStorm - You're of course absolutely right. The point we were trying to make was you won't want to build totally concealed buildings for Deadzone because you'll want to get your hands and models in and out.

      We can totally see some towering structures being made with these kits, and that's where the scenery bundles will kick in, but for Deadzone you may only want to build a couple of small buildings too, using the same number of tiles that Jake has used for the pre-alpha :)

      Of course, we don't either Recon or Strike Team to finish with the scenery sprues we've given away so far :)

    24. Darklord on

      Very nice, I like it!

      @ mantic

      Sorry but what Jake has in his pre alpha shot are not buildings, a single 3x3 shelter is not it, when people think of buildings, they think what you have in the display board, so when you say buildings expect people to think 3x1 tiles or 2x2 tiles structures that may be 1 or two levels high.

      1. Rebel flyer alien.

      2. I'm wanting Nameless, but expecting a red herring.

      Top one looks like it has wings? Looks Reptilian not Avian....which I am okay with.

      Middle.....Infected Nameless? How many tentacles does a creature need? lol

      Bottom one has grenades, I pressume that is what is in it's hand, and there is what appears to be a "claw" shaped nail on the thumb. I'll concur with the Goblin Grenadier.

      Scenary look amazing, thanks for the extra sprues! Maybe some turrets or static devices that can replace the counters.

      The scenery tiles are looking great. I especially like the two types of connectors shown in the video. This looks like a great solution for attaching bits together.

      Is the second teaser picture the milking machine for Kingdom Death's Wet Nurse?

      @greg lol!

    41. Mantic Games 17-time creator on

      @ Charlie - the Golem Board is built using tiles from about 8 Building sprues and an accessory sprue or two (it's not an exact science because they just used random tiles we had cast which don't match the sprue layout), though you wouldn't probably build your Deadzone buildings that way.

      You'd build them more like Jake had in the pre-alpha photograph, with about 18-24 tiles, or 4 building sprues. Of course Strike Team let's you build much bigger buildings!
