@ Andrew - the way I look at it pointing forward is where he's looking, not where his feet are pointing. At least, if I was marking up a front for this model that's how I'd do it.
And no, models don't have a facing in Deadzone.
Any chance of ripper suits without arms as an add-on? I'd rather pay a bit more and be able to use all the arms (plus my Marauder Warpath army is beckoning those rippers to come play).
I like the ripper suit, but tend to agree that ranged weapons should be faced forward...at least one of em anyway. He kind of looks like he is going to give someone a fluffy Orx hug.
To be honest the terrain is the big thing for me, I would be happy if I could just order the terrain sprues. So I'm pretty happy to see more of the terrain going into the mix.
@Mantic: Not to complain or anything, but you haven't put the Goblin Sniper on the Marauder list over models unlocked..

I agree with previous comments and scaletsquig sums it up nicely. The Marauder in the Ripper Suits legs look far too skinny around the upper thigh. I do not likt the pose the model is currently in although I really do like the concept artwork and the detail on the sculpt.

@Mantic: I really love the metal Enforcer Captain sculpt available in the Warpath range. Will I be able to make something like this with the new close combat bits? If not, would it be possible to have the old Enforcer Captain as an optional add-on in the Kickstarter, please? There are a few people on WargamerAU forums with the same idea in their heads and it would be lovely not to have to do a separate order.
It is entirely possible this request could be solved with a better photo of the Deadzone Enforcer Captain :)
I love the various aliens in the rebs - would like to see some more!
Hmm - looking at the Ripper figure more closely, I think the main reason the arms are posed the way they are is balance. If both guns faced forward, it would tip over.
The guns' weight could be compensated for with the right armor build and pose (i.e., the drawing isn't impossible to make work), but that would require a completely different sculpt.
Ah well, maybe there will be a variant Ripper suit build that looks like its aiming at something.
Here's another vote for the ripper Marauder aiming his big guns forward. If it's not a tough adjustment, I think getting it closer to the drawing's orientation would be well worth it.
@Mantic I agree about the ripper i hope we dont see his final pose with the arms held out like that maybe if he were holding to hand held heavy weapons, but for the underslung i like the concept pose better. Also we know the plague mutates the physical form of the host...but can it also incorporate their tech? not just in use but more as biomechanical version of what it absorbed?

Thanks JM Fernandez, however it is a little sad as i'll get less for two choices of faction starters at Scout level than for two factions (selected) at the Recon. Anyway, this is a really great project.
@ Henrik - at this stage there are three types of Plague, the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen, plus Plague Hounds. Moving forwards and away from the faction starters, we can of course start getting even more creative... alternate heavy weapons are a start (since you can pick equipment up in the game!) but what happens when the plague comes into contact with our types of alien? There's a lot of stuff we can do :)
@ William - the marauder tool is a mix of troopers, ripper suits, snipers and mawbeasts, so there are a fair few small things of there, a couple of medium and then the ripper suits maxes it out. In the future of course, with more funding, we can possibly open up another tool for some even more crazy stuff... crazy stuff that's just gone into concepting in fact ;)
@Dominique, you CAN get factions as add-ons. It's $40 to add a faction, aka scout pledge.

Extra free minis?
It is sad we can't chose any TWO faction starters at the Recon level so i could increase my pledge from Scout 40$ to Recon 100$ and grab the Enforcers and the Rebs factions in place of Enforcers and The Plague... So it is why i hope at least we gonna be able to get factions as add-ons. :-(

@Mantic - don't sell stretch goals short, guys. If the Yndij is a new sculpt (which is great), update your description!
As for the enforcer with assault blade, I'm convinced. Definitely want this one - preferably in the depicted action pose.
I like the 2nd gen plague variants a lot. I think they had to do them, as when the Plague become a Warpath army, no one will want regiments of 2nd gens leaping over barricades.
I do like Henrik's point, though: After this 2nd gen, how about some crazy cool, monstrous new Plague designs?

AWESOME!!! work fellas keep on slaving for us. I think @Will U. & @ Henrik D. have a point lets get those lazy muties in different poses... I think we are going to need a second game mat or a 3'x3' mat for all the new mini and environments sprues.
Damn that Survivor looks cool. I hope we get him in the "aiming" pose- or at least have the option to pose him that way. I hate it when models in games about shooting look like their always just hangin' out.
You say the Marauders need have a lot of large models but can't we see some smaller ones? you already made a goblin sniper couldn't we see some small horde units, a mob of goblins with buzz saws to drag people down. Or a standard sized figure for pyromaniacs or demolitions experts, powerful figures to be sure, all about big damage but not necesarily large sized models.

@ Mantic Don't get me wrong now guys you're doing a splendid job and all and I'm deffo in. But, the plague faction looks IMO just a little bit samey all over compared to the other ones. There's no possibility of having a more mutated variant of infected. Something like the more monstrous Res Evil creatures, ya know a mutant-necro-alien badass :-)
Cool, I'm happy about the extra ripper suit arms, will be magnetizing mine so they can upgrade easy. :)
Not convinced with the Assault blade enforcer, can you provide more angles of the render?

Yea, but I'm like @scarletsquig, I'm a little confused. Is there a marauder in this too? Or are the weapons for the marauder in the starter set? I'm happy with them, but I would like a little clarification.
@ Noah - 3 2nd Gens, each in a unique pose :)
@ Scarletsquig - three free models, and 2 sets of extra heavy arms for the ripper suits. Marauders get more "big" things so they need less models, though this is the only one where they don't get a model per se.

Obviously a plasma rifle leg or something, also a chainsword as arm or something.
Background story : Corporation engineer trooper, had to survive in a dead zone at all cost. Got infected in the leg and the medic that she was protecting made the amputation in time... but she couldn't defend both in that state, so with both experties their found a way to make that procedure and give her a new deadly leg.
We both arrived safe to the corps hq via smugling into a Enforcers ship, the general there got the info remove any scientist from that planet because "they knew too much" She manage to escape in a dropship thanks to a Orx Raid gang that tried to take the Enforcers ship.
Luckily there was a meteorite cluster there with a Reb base hidden inside it.
Ok maybe too crazy or not too cool but i think it will be nice to have some crazy characters that bear scars and real hate to what the Corps did to them.

Are there going to be specialized 2nd gen or are they alla the same and just different poses?
I'm a little confused about the freebies on this one... if I'm reading it right, it's 3 free models (plague 2nd gen, assault enforcer, rebs yndij)... and then just a set of ripper arms for marauders?

Is the Yndij going to be another of the same model, or an alternate model? If it's the former, will the model at least be poseable to look different?
Okay this is nit picking because I think this stuff looks great, but it seems like every faction other than the infected is getting more variety of composition whereas the infected are mainly getting alternate poses of the 2nd generation.
Can you give us a little more fluff on the Yndij since they are part of this stretch? Pretty please?
