Exhibition & Book Signing - Sat Nov 5th - Los Angeles

Hello Friends,

If you are in LA this next week please join me at the opening of my exhibition, A Cavalier in Sight of a Village at Sam Lee Gallery on Saturday, Nov 5th, 6-8pm.  I'll have your books and prints ready for pickup there too (if you can't make it, no worries-- they will be mailed to you as planned!).

Hope to see you!

Special Delivery!

Fresh off the boat!  It'll take a couple more weeks to get everything organized, finish making the prints, and get it all shipped off to you, but just wanted to share that the books have arrived today.  Very exciting...we did it!

Love and thanks,

The advance copy has arrived!

Hello!  Well it was a busy summer over here at Cavalier book HQ.  I'm so pleased to share the news that the book is essentially done, and the advance copy has just arrived!  The bulk of them are now on the boat, due to undergo the byzantine customs process and arrive stateside around the end of October, inshallah.  I'll keep you posted on when you can expect to receive your copy (and/or print), but hopefully not much longer after that-- I'll be printing everything in the coming weeks in order to have them done by the time the books arrive.

Thanks again for the ongoing support

Sometimes you kick, sometimes you get Kicked!

I have to say, I honestly had no idea what to expect when I started this project just over 3 weeks ago. It seemed like a good idea but I really didn't know how it would turn out...

Thank you SO much to everyone for your support in helping to make this book project a reality. I cannot properly express my gratitude to all of you for your generosity.

So what's next?

Well, first off, I'll be sending you all a note thru Kickstarter shortly in order to collect your details regarding shipping, contact info, etc so that once the books and prints are completed I can send off your rewards.

I've completed all the master prints for the book, and they look...amazing.  The books will be finished in time for my exhibition at Sam Lee Gallery, which opens in Los Angeles, Nov 5th - Dec 23rd.

I'll start packing up the goods for everyone as soon as I have them. So it'll be mid-autumn by the time they are done, but in booklandia, I'm discovering that is actually a fairly quick turnaround.  They will be worth the wait!

Feel free to contact me with any specific questions:

Thank you again,

Cavalier - Featured on Conscientious today

Hello again and THANK YOU to everyone for the continued support on this project in its final days-- I am thrilled to be able to make this book...!

News from the blogosphere:  Joerg Colberg interviewed me about A Cavalier for his superblog, Conscientious, which was published today. He is so smart and I really enjoyed our chat.  Our conversation can be found here:

In other news, I've been toiling away in the studio on the prints this week, so that the printer will have a set to match the color to. As you can see, it's coming along!
