I was invited by Kickstarter to do a one-week challenge - perfect timing! I just finished the first part of my Thesis and need to get it printed...
I've done two successful Kickstarters so far. They funded my blog - Glyphs & Glitches which recorded my adventures (and glitches) while returning to school to get my Masters in Cartooning.
NOW - I'm close to graduating - IF I can get my Thesis finished and printed!
If everything goes well, the Thesis will be four "magazines" called BEGin AGAIN - with comics from my time at school.
This magazine/comic is called QUO VADIS and is a Special Issue. It has all my calendar comics from August 2016-February 2017. Yep. I drew a comic every day for 7 months in a Quo Vadis Planner:
All the comics are drawn using a ballpoint pen and some are colored with ballpoints too.
I've scanned, tidied (removed the coffee and blood stains), laid them all out...
And sent it all off to the printer!
Since it is a small, color print run, it's quite expensive. This Kickstarter is to raise the minimum amount to print the thing for the Thesis committee and you folks. I'd love to print more copies - and I'll be doing another Kickstarter when I have the other three issues ready too.
What do you get?
Any pledge amount is greatly appreciated! And I'm happy to send you a PDF version of the comics.
If you pledge $25 or more - you will get an actual, professionally printed, color comic. It's 64 pages and filled with humor, angst, goofy Harry Potter references, and passion (rated PG - my kid reads these).
Here are a few more pages for you to read while you are making up your mind... but don't wait too long because this campaign only lasts SEVEN DAYS! Whoosh!
Back my project to see all the other pages!
Thank you. :-)
Risks and challenges
The project is finished and sent to the printers. The risk is not coming up with enough money to pay the printer. In which case, I'll sell a kidney or small child. I am truly committed to my comics!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
