Welcome to my FIFTH Kickstarter project! Yes! Let's DO this!
"Ready, Set, GOrilla!" - written by Melissa Stoller, and illustrated by ME! will be released by Spork (Clear Fork) Publishing on November 13, 2018.
YAH! To celebrate - I am making a series of removable tattoos featuring some of the characters from this adorable picture book.
Since I don't have these tattoos yet, I will show you a Lilah Bean tattoo I made with the same company. These tattoos have white behind the entire image so that the colors are vibrant and opaque. They look good on any skin color.
They don't work well on fur, so if you are a gorilla, or a llama... you'll want to apply it to your foot. Or hoof? Or maybe your nose?
The tattoos are very easy to apply and last for 3-7 days depending on where they are located. For example - this Lilah Bean is on the back of my hand - which gets washed a lot - and has lasted about 4 days. The "shiny" wears off after a day and then looks more natural.
If you aren't into "tattoos" on your skin, they can also be applied to paper, like stickers. Either way, you just peel off the protective coating, place it face down onto clean paper or skin, hold a moist tissue to the paper backing for 30 seconds, then peel off the paper.
What other REWARDS are there?
You can get downloadable coloring pages! These are great if you live outside the US or you are a teacher. Or homeschool. Or you just love to color.
And, of course, you can get the new book!
NO FAIR! This happens to Kangaroo and Llama too... soon no one will race with Gorilla.
To find out what happens next... you need to get the book!
And you can get the book with TATTOOS!
Or you can get "Ready, Set, GOrilla!" with a little sketch of one of the character's faces.
Or you can go all out and get a copy of the book with a customized drawing of whichever character you like, plus I'll inscribe it with your name or your loved one's name and a little message too.
This is a "Quickstarter" - a short Kickstarter with a small goal amount. I'm trying to raise enough to produce the tattoos and, if the project does well, I may make some extra goodies too (like buttons!)

Risks and challenges
Not much at risk here since it's a small project. The biggest risk is not being able to order enough books to meet the shipping minimum (at least 20 books). The books are being released November 13th, so I should be able to get them signed and shipped out in time for the December Holidays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
